I use several instances of this wonderful EQ, but I realized a strange behaviour in the last 2 days. I put it on a group track for my vocals. When I switch monitoring off and then on, the cpu spikes to 100. I first thought it was spectralive or sprectraQ, because they do that often in Podium. But it was the zEQ. Shortly bypassing it and than turning it on again made the spikes go away and everything was normal again. This was reproducable several times.

By the way. There is something wrong with offline bounce. Podium crashed 20 times today when starting an offline bounce. Sometimes it worked, and more often it crashed to desktop. Never had that before.. I checked if any specific plugin caused this, but I couldn’t find one. Perhaps it’s Halion again. I will check that.

Try to isolate the one plugin instance that is causing this, by gradually removing the other tracks (backup your project!) until the problem goes away. What is feeding the plugin; other plugins or an audio input?

Does the crash occur before the progress dialog appears? Or how far into the render?

It crashes when before the progress dialog appears. Sometimes I get a crash dialog, but more often the crash ends Podium without any information. I assume it has something to do with Halion (again, poor plugin!!!). I will take a special look at this when I go on with the project.

I also will see what makes zEq spike. Tomorrow will be a good time for that.
