Thank you all very much for your welcome. To be honest, I don’t think that the lack of midi plugins or staff view will be an important impediment and the excellent features Podium has counterbalance the lack of these features.
So far I have had no problems that I was not able to solve; when I first started to use Podium it was confusing a bit but after one day I became accustomed to its workflow.
Anyway, I am mainly working in midi (with some audio samples). I am working on an album which hopefully will be released this summer.
I would like to ask for some advice about mastering. I have found some nice tutorials but I still feel that I could learn more. I currently use ReaPlugs for the EQ and multiband compressor and the Classic series for the Master Limiter. What is bothering me is that in some songs, where I have lower frequencies in a song, there are some unwanted noises I can hear after the rendering process. However, I do not hear them in Podium; only after I render them. Do any of you know what might cause this? I have eliminated anything under 30 Hz and my peaks are somewhere around -0.5 db but still I get those random noises.
Any advice?
I apologize if I should have posted this in another section.
All the best,
Cris
