Sorry. Found answer. Didn’t know what to search for earlier; when I posted. It is great news!!!
I found an old post with info regarding how to solve this. Thanks.
I run it on a Sony Vaio 2.4ghz, 4gig ram laptop and yes Vista…yuk. Vista sucks – but it’s what I have at the moment. I’m looking to upgrade to a new laptop this year…hoping Win 7 will be ample – as if I really have much choice in the matter.
…being a software engineer myself, sometimes ya just gotta roll with the tools you have at hand…hehehe…as frustrating as it may seem at the time.
2.15 splash screen looked good to me in terms of when Podium starts. IE still displaying only black. I’m bailing on this issue since it is just not critical enough to spend more time on.
Yes it is darker in IE. Also, I just loaded 2.15 and the splash screen is clear when Podium starts.
Being a software engineer myself, I can relate to that, “Ouch”, and find it comforting there is a real human providing us with this wonderful app.
Interesting. I dropped the png into my little freebie IrfanView image display app. I can see the Podium Guide clearly. However, within IE, it is completely black. Sorry I have not loaded 2.15 yet, but will surely do this over the weekend.
The graphic on the podium guide site is also just black.
Wonderful. Thanks much!
The bounce function is what others would call a mixdown? Once I bounce the master track, I should have a wave file associated with it – correct? I can then just grab that wave file as my master stereo mix?
It is Podium that brought me back to Software as a means to produce music. Why?…User interface and reliability. The only other program I found useful was Voyetra Record Producer Deluxe because it was the easiest and most reliable at the time. Of course, I had not tried Podium.
This track heirarchy concept is wonderful. What is so funny is this concept is so natural for people to conceptualize. We are most comfortable with the outline format, which is conceptually identical to the track heirarchy.
Fritz! You have made music production on the computer a pleasure for me again. You deserve all the kudos I can muster.
I disconnect from the internet, and shut down all virus programs before I run Podium.
I have a laptop ( 2.1ghz duo centrino, 3gig ram, 5400rpm drive ) and when the virus program is belting out checks, I will witness gaps, and pops intermittantly.
