The problem may be the Red X but still no sound through the ASIO driver.
I also got the message “could not initialize the sound at 88200”

I then switched down to 44100 and the message went away but no sound from the ASIO driver still.

*** I have since found that the MS GS wave synthesizer needed to be turned off for the red X to vanish, but still there are no sounds.

I also found that the default sound card sometimes turns itself off. But that’s no big problem.

I chose the ASIO drivers and no sounds come out of the software.

It should but it does not.

I did as you requested and there is no sound from the wav audio.

Do you have any suggestions?

** I changed the Audio to Windows wave/MME and it now works. The documentation foretold that I would need the ASIO and for some reason it does not for wav.

Step recording is next if its possible.

I used an alternate video and got to the point where Kore player loads but there are no sounds.

I downloaded ASIO and installed it but still no sounds.

Some setting I missed somewhere?

If you could also suggest an application that does have a built in keyboard that would be good.

Step recording while using a VST such as Kore free is what I need to do.

I looked at the application Notion3 and though it was good, suited my needs, the price was too high.

Something like that would be better. maybe later.
