I’m getting lots of crashes when Podium 2.06 scans my VST folder for create a new project. Usually the plugin that gives problems Tone2 Gladiator, last official version. But other plugins as IL Delay Bank (Image line Juice Pack) too. Sometimes Tone2 Warmverb too.

I think that those plugins are slow to load, maybe that could be the problem. The crashes are random.

Edit: Gladiator tries connect to internet when you load it

There are no changes in 2.06 that should affect plugin scanning behaviour. Can you confirm that the crashes also occur with 2.05?

Yes, I just tried in 2.05 and it crashes also (i’m on a VERY poor internet conection and my company is trying to solve). I noticed too that after the crash while I don’t press the buttons of the error windows (Podium.exe has detected a problem and it must close) of send or don’t do it, I can tweak Podium controls, and use it. then I open the plugin quarantine and the plugin that crash is always Gladiator. I can create an arragement and enter in it with the error window opened even!

I’m on Windows XP Home SP3, 1ghz dual core pentium, 1gb ram

    • Extended the “control type” combobox in tracks region properties with a choice for hiding all controls on the headers.

    • The controls on the track panel in the inspector will use the control style selected in the inspector view menu.

I didn’t understand these :S I didn’t see any change. I liked the new bounce tracks, now are more easy

Oh, I understand, thanks you! 🙂

That would be a very good improvement, because it’s pretty confussing. I’m talking a lot in my native language music forum about Podium (http://www.hispasonic.com) and I could appear in the bad light if they discover this! 😛

Well, consider make an alternative bounce (ALT+B?) that render each clip in the same bounce track, then you could move and delete the clips without unfreeze (althought the delay type effects couldn’t be accurate).

    Regards 🙂

You are still able to edit the events on the lane when the bounced waveform is drawn on top

That means that you can move and delete bounced clip without unbounce the track, doesn’t it?

I’m also considering changing the function of the B button and the key shortcuts. I think you most frequently want to either render and activate bounce playback or disable bounce playback: If bounce playback is not activated, pressing B will render and activate bounce. If bounce playback is activated, pressing B will deactivate bounce playback.

Yes please! Do it! 🙂 I want use the B button only for turn on/off the render.

I’ve a suggestion. I never see any host with “freeze” that could do this. Maybe it’s imposible: If you freeze a track, you render the existing clips into audio. You can move and delete those clips without unfreeze. But, if you want add or edit a clip you must to unfreeze the track. My suggestion is that you can add or edit a new clip in a freezed track. The new or edited clip would activate temporaly the generators (which are loaded in ram, but they are bypassed) and effects while they are playing. When the new or edited clip finish, then the FX would be bypassed again.

    Regards 🙂

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I found a better solution!!!

I cannot drag the lenght of selected notes with the mouse, but I can do it with the keyboard, selecting the notes and Ctrl+plus or Ctrl+minus (select a very tiny snap value with shift+d/shift F). It doesn’t work with numerical keyboard but it does with the other plus and minus on alpha keyboard. I think this can be a problem of regional configuration (spanish keyboard).

    Regards!

After close the project, I opened it later it gave me an error with poise configuration. Then I achieved repair it. It doesnt’ matter, it was an important project.

I’m gonna to study the manual of Podium before ask any more, because I’ve only read the first pages (the getting started)

    Thx 😉
