Now it’s arm, press K and press spacebar. That’s one step to many in my opinion.

Indeed, an option to start playback as soon as record is enabled is missing.

In my opinion the arming of the track should be sufficient to start recording.

I pretty much had the opposite thought. 🙂 I could live without track arming, for me it’s something that could be done in a more straightforward way with the track selection. On the other hand, Podium doesn’t seem to allow selecting multiple tracks at once.

Anyway, since I usually only record on a single track, I’d like it if there was an option to auto-arm the selected track, similar to the “Auto-assign to focus track” option for track inputs.

I’m a new user of the free version and can confirm this – it happened to me. Generally, I expect actions to apply to all items if none are selected. And if actions are not available for some reason, they should not disappear, but maybe appear greyed out.

I also came across a similar problem in the midi editor, where enabling “Edit only selected events” prevents you from doing any edits if nothing is selected. 🙁

Since this is my first post here: Thanks for Podium Free, Zynewave! It’s great so far. 🙂
