Frits, I do not want to be rude but the problem has been reported since July 2012.
Look at your old messages. ๐
Hi Frits,
Just ask news again …
I advanced in the search for possible causes of failure. It seems that the combination of 64-bit Kontakt with other 32-bit VST (especially multitimbral VST) is the cause.
And it’s not a problem of Kontakt for me.
Hi Frits,
One more time to know when a solution will be developed for better management of Kontakt?
If I add other plugins, the compatibility list that I made (see the beginning of the post) is no longer valid.
This problem is very frustrating. I can not compose music the way I want.

I recently got Kontakt 5 and Reaktor 5 bundled with a keyboard I bought. I haven’t tried them with Podium yet — and it’s not critical I use them at all because I have plenty of other great sounds and instruments — but are you saying Native Instruments software does not work or does not work smoothly with Podium?
If so, what is the problem this time? I have the Abbey Road Drums now with this software, and I sure would like to use them eventually. I suppose I could always produce those drums on my Reaper or Ableton and bring them to Podium.
I can’t understand from this thread what the issue is. What’s up?
Check out this post where you had also responded :

thank you for your quick response Frits.
How so? You do not develop 24/24 hours ? ๐ฟ It is not well, not well ! ๐
You’re right, there’s something else more interesting to do in life.
Ok I’ll be patient
Hi Frits,
To know when a solution will be developed for better management of Kontakt?
I look forward to it
Hi Frits, many thanks ๐

A bug that was not present in the version 3.1.0:
In the windows “project” and “arrangements”, letters with accents are replaced by strange characters in the window
And all previous files (projects, files) containing accented characters (รฉ, รจ, รง …) can not be opened
Add : Don’t loose time for this because for the moment i don’t have many files with accents and it’s easy to change the name.
This is caused by the Unicode support added in Podium 3.1.1. Special characters are now stored in Unicode format. You will not be able to load the project from the “recent projects” list, as the filenames were stored in the old format in your Podium.ini. If you use file>open to load the project, you don’t have to rename any special characters, and the recent projects list should show the filename correctly. If you reenter the special characters in the names of the sequences in your project, then they should also display correctly.
Thanks Frits ๐
Partly solved

Why is it I hear more problems, issues and complaints about Kontakt than any other DAW-related piece of software throughout all the sites and forums on the Net? Could it have anything to do with the fact that is is this huge 10 billion gigabyte bloat of libraries and touchy player? I know more former NI customers now than current owner/users. And the rest still using NI junk? Half are using cracked versions. I heard it is partly due to the licensing and registration hassles with their stuff.
Yes, indeed, it appears that it is much easier and less painful to use cracked versions. ](*,) Hush!

Maybe if I wait a little longer, you’ll find ways to fix the other issues as well? ๐

By cons, Frits, is it normal that I can not change the process priority Podium? (normal)
Note that I am in administrator modePodium sets the process priority to “above normal” when the engine is running, so maybe that is why you cannot change the priority manually.
Hi Frits,
For me it is not “above normal” but “normal”????
I would push it in “High”. A future possibility?
Regarding other issues Kontakt and management of plugins,
it may not be “a little bit of time” but an eternity. ๐ Do not wait me! ๐
Seriously, I can not compose as I want and right now I have to juggle the susceptibilities of Kontakt and “no affinities” for other plugins in Podium. A real headache!
I feel a bit lonely on this post … ๐
That’s it, I just found why the loading of sounds was very long.
Processus priority was below normal (Podium was booted from a task).
Now, it’s ok ! ๐ ๐ ๐
There remains the other two problems mentioned above
By cons, Frits, is it normal that I can not change the process priority Podium? (normal)
Note that I am in administrator mode
thank you for your answer
Resolved: process priority
