Frits, can you explain source to me? When I right click on a track, with no fx, auto, etc I see source and the choices are not something I understand. I see busses, instruments, Powercore, and Voxengo. None is a complete list.
The Source submenu is what previously was labeled “Instrument/Return”. I changed it to the shorter “Source” because the mapping name is now appended to the submenu label.
ahhh. o.k. thanks.

wow! very cool update Frits.
i’m glad there is a way to do it but why lose my pan option? the mono wav file starts off with a pan, as it should, why lose it because i ad an fx?……..

reaper… the userbase seems to be… ugh. 👿
ha! that is a reason to stay away in and of itself!!
what you say about project size makes sense.
oh yeah, podium is certainly one of the coolest UI’s too!!
hope the real time bounce works out.
take care Robert…..
now as a hobbyist i don’t see a major difference in editing. i actually think podium is significantly easier to edit with.
not sure what difference you mean by audio handling. again, as a hobbyist i don’t realize a difference. neither saw or podium gets pushed too hard when i am usually at 30 tracks or less.
i think podium is far easier to use than SAW. reaper, which i rarely use but like to watch, is also so much easier to use….for me. i always struggled with saw’s inability to incorporate simple functions like file path, etc.
SAW made simple thinks difficult for a home user like myself. however, bob created quite a platform. but like you said, the choices are getting more plentiful and people like Justin and Frits have a more universal idea for pricing!
i’m curious as to your explanations of the editing and handling of audio differences, just for the sake of cusiosity.
i justed tested it and here is how i did it.
create a group bounce above the existing track. arm bounce track by clicking record and bounce. now arm transport and hit play. my group track records the existing track. i notice i left out click the B on the bounce track the first time. otherwise it should work.
well that is cool you use podium. i really like it myself. i have a number of recording programs still but podium has become my fulltime software.
good luck, i hope it bounces this time!
instead of hitting control B just hit record on the track (bounce track) and transport bar, hit play and you get a realtime bounce.
Robert from SAW? what brought you to podium?
i am using expand mode
it is originally a mono wav file-panned hard left
if i insert a mono fx, does it remain panned hard left?
if not, how can i do this?
thanks
Frits, if I have it panned left full before I insert the mono plug does it remain pan left full?
thanks UA.
looking forward to hearing yours!
here is my first mix/master. i may re-do it this week but i wanted to get something up. all the files are in the collab area so i hope i get to hear someone elses mix/master.

thanks Mike G and UA!
o.k. i am uploading the guitar solo, named solo 2_003 and the new 1st verse vox, named vox 3_001.
i used a little pitch shifting to help the chorus.
i will post my version of the finished tune tonight with a link here.
