ZynewaveKeymasterI meant can I turn an fx on and off with automation?
You can’t, unless the plugin has an on/off or bypass parameter.
ZynewaveKeymasterYes. Open the parameter panel in the inspector, click the device button and double-click the desired parameter to create an automation track.
Or record enable the plugin track, and move the controls in the plugin editor during recording.

i am not clear on this. i can see a cursor hold stationary in the edit window. but once i hit stop the cursors are linked. what is the point?
Then it’s working as intended. The point is that the edit cursor will not start to move when you hit playback, so you can continue editing without having to stop playback to move the cursor.
ZynewaveKeymasterDid you uncheck the “link edit cursor to play cursor” option in the view menu?
ZynewaveKeymasterSurge (#1)
Surge (#1) (01)
Surge (#1) (02)
Surge (#1) (03)What does this mean?
This means that Surge is imported as a global plugin with multiple mappings for one instance. The (#1) refers to the instance number and the (01) (02) … refers to MIDI channel number.
If you want to use more instances, go to the device list on the project start page, and use the “new instance” context menu on the surge folder. This should give you a new set of mappings named with (#2). If you are not using the multitimbral functionality of Surge, you can use the “new insert mapping” context menu. This will give you a mapping that you can place on any number of tracks.
ZynewaveKeymasterI realize we’re heading towards 2.0.. Have you any major features planned for this special release?
I am not secretly preparing something big or special. I would like to think that time-stretching is implemented when we reach 2.0.
ZynewaveKeymaster- Option for separate edit cursor and play cursor.

ZynewaveKeymasterYou are using the “view” button at the top right of the visible mixer region?
If you select the “view” button at the bottom of the window, you are changing the option for the minimized/hidden mixer region.

ZynewaveKeymasterFind all occurrences of “FollowFocusTrack=1” and replace them with “FollowFocusTrack=0”. Save Podium.ini. Please verify that this stops the scrolling. Did you notice my previous post about the double dual mixer windows?

ZynewaveKeymasterSomething that may cause the confusion:
I noticed in your setup that you are using two browser windows, each showing the default “Split – mixer” profile. This means you actually have four mixers, as the split profile already has two mixer regions. So maybe you changed the follow option for the mixers that are minimized.

ZynewaveKeymasterThen please exit Podium and open the Podium.ini in notepad.exe or any text editor. Search for “FollowFocusTrack”. Do the lines read “FollowFocusTrack=0” ?

ZynewaveKeymasterIf you uncheck the option in all the mixer regions, and then exit and restart Podium, are the options still unchecked?

ZynewaveKeymasterThe file shows that the follow option is enabled for all mixer views. Are you sure you are not mistakingly using the “automatic scroll” option in the editor view menu? This option is for the timeline scrolling. The “follow focus track” is found in the “view” menu to the far right on the mixer title bar.

ZynewaveKeymasterHmm, I’ve just checked it with a second browser window showing two mixers, and they don’t scroll. Please email me your Podium.ini file.

ZynewaveKeymasterThe “follow focus track” option is a local setting for each mixer region, so you need to deselect it in every mixer region that you don’t want to auto-scroll.
