Hi, sorry to hear about the trouble.
Send the file to info at zynewave.com, and I’ll see if it can be salvaged.

My BCF2000 is not set up to control record arm, but I tried with the mouse on both the parameter and audio/midi tracks and it does not affect it.
It is only the control surface hardware rec. arm buttons that support this simulated fader touch.
Is it possible to disable recording of fader movements but still allow control as if playback is paused? I am trying to create static presets, and do not necessarily need to automate values over time.
Sorry, no. Once you’ve set up a parameter track, its corresponding fader is locked to the track curve.
The faders will always sync to the value on the parameter track at the cursor position, so you cannot use them to edit plugin parameters without affecting the parameter track. The real MCU has touch-sensitive faders, so once you touch a fader, it will stop moving the fader and record your actions. On devices that do not have touch-sense you can press & hold the channel record arm buttons to simulate touching the faders.
Any control changes you set up must match the MCU defaults. This page can be helpful:

it seems Podium FREE can not read path/dir when the Russian letters are present
That is probably the cause. Support for unicode file paths was first introduced in Podium 3.1.1.
Did you get this sorted?
If you use the Setup>Restore Default Setup menu command, it should recreate the Podium.ini file with all the default profiles.
If you change any of the other settings, such as audio/midi devices, do these settings also reset when you close/start up Podium again?
On the mixer strips, do you see half-circles with the numbers 1-8?
I know it’s been a long time. That is why I feel bad about not having solved this sooner. I’ve had to devote time to other jobs recently, which is why I have made so little progress with Podium. I can only assure you that I will address this issue eventually. I’m having similar problems with my Albion Kontakt library, so I have a personal interest in solving this problem.
