Is the level difference evident on the waveform on the individual tracks?
Check that you don’t have any tracks in the hierarchy where you have reduced the gain setting.

One thing that may differ from other hosts is mono panning. If you play a mono sound or mono plugin, then by default the gain is reduced by -3dB when panned in center, and 0dB when panned hard left/right. Some hosts will output at 0dB at center and boost +3dB when panned hard left/right.

Not entirely, only the mixing. If a sound file is placed on the track it is still being streamed from disk, so that if you unmute the track then playback of the sound can start immediately.

ZynewaveKeymasterMaybe. I’ve got a lot of features that I think is more important. Besides, depending on the plugin, you don’t have to bypass plugins to save CPU. E.g. all zPlugins are coded to reduce CPU usage to almost nothing, if they are processing silence. I’ve also heard rumours that the new VST3 specification will have functions for reducing CPU usage.

How about a pop up menu with marker names….select one to move to that marker.
I’ll consider it. With the latest release (1.82) you can quickly scroll between markers by using the mouse wheel on the marker region.

Depending on the plugin, there may be a VST “mix” parameter or something similar, that you can automate to simulte bypassing the effect.
ZynewaveKeymasterI’ve added a bit more intensity to the color now.
It’s on purpose that the meter text color is dimmed. The text is part of the ornament of the strip, so it’s dimmed to distinguish it from the text that changes due to object/value changes. When I eventually add a dB meter value indicator (above the meters) this will be drawn with the normal text color.

Click the top menu button in the device list on the start page, and select “search for missing plugins”. When done, save the template again overwriting the old one.
ZynewaveKeymasterSorry about this, but parameter events so far only support MIDI parameters. Support for VST and mixer parameters are on the todo list. Until then you need to use curve sequences for automation
