ZynewaveKeymasterThis is now fixed (better late than never). The problem should only be with sounds that have the ‘relative to project path’ option selected. Fix will be in release 1.45.

ZynewaveKeymasterI have changed the grid line resolution to binary jumps when zoomed out. This means that gridlines shown in the time ruler always matches the grid lines in the editor area. There are still twice the gap between gridlines in the ruler, to make room for the bar numbers. Will be available in release 1.45.
ZynewaveKeymasterHi Francois,
I got your follow-up email, where you said you found a solution. Let me know if you still have problems.

ZynewaveKeymasterThe screenshots on the home page are updated with the new look.
ZynewaveKeymasteractually one more thing, maybe the sequence profile needs it’s own horizontal scroll bar and zoom controls… or did you not put this in because it would look confusing having two lots of scroll bar controls with one just above the other?
My intention with the embedded editor was both to have space efficient sequence editing and to have it time-locked with the main arrangement zoom. If the embedded editor should be able to zoom independently, then space would have to be used for an extra time ruler and scrollbar. If you want independent zoom of the sequences, you will have to open a separate editor window by double-clicking the event.

ZynewaveKeymasterThe reason why this occurs is because the time-ruler skips the highlighting of bar lines if it would overlap the previously written bar number. But I agree it is not consistent. Would the right solution be that all the editor gridlines mimic the highlighted bars in the time-ruler?
ZynewaveKeymasterIt’s already on the plan:
MIDI-learn command in the arrangement editor parameter panel.

ZynewaveKeymasterHow would you want to configure this color. Should it be a setting in the sequence/sound properties dialogs? This color would then apply to all tracks where the sequence is placed.
ZynewaveKeymaster- Redesigned editor scrollbars and zoom buttons.

is Ctrl+Shift+Drop used at the moment? that could be a way of implementing in it in dg’n’dp..
Actually, to mimic the Windows desktop behaviour, I should change the current ctrl+drop behaviour to shift+ctrl+drop to create phantom copies (which creates linked references in Windows), and then make ctrl+drop to create unique duplicates (as in copying files in Windows). I’ll think about this.
ZynewaveKeymasterIs planned a VSTi and VSTFX version of Podium?
You mean a dll version of Podium that can be loaded as a VST in other hosts? In that case, no.

ZynewaveKeymasterThis content is restricted to Podium license owners.
ZynewaveKeymastera) copy and paste things without cloning?
There is no shortcut for it. You’ll have to do the paste, and then select the ‘clone phantom sequence’ menu. Are you using the ctrl+c/v key shortcuts or the menus? I could implement a new ‘paste unique’ menu below the current ‘paste’ menu.
b) protect midi tracks I have imported
Do you import the midi as an arrangement or by dragging it onto tracks? I’ve been meaning to implement display of a new symbol on the sequence events, next to the current + symbol (indicating phantom events). This new symbol would show up if the sequence is placed somewhere in the project outside the arrangement. This would enable a new menu that allows you to make a local copy in the current arrangement, leaving the original intact. Maybe this would help in your situation.
ZynewaveKeymasterability to send midi to VST effects would be great too
You can do that already. You just need to define the proper MIDI parameter objects.
ZynewaveKeymasterHi Francois,
Of the things you mention, I think the MIDI export will be the first to arrive. As I am going back fulltime on development from January, I’ll hopefully have this implemented soon thereafter. MIDI remote control will probably be a part of a key shortcut user-configuration setup. I have no time estimate on when this will happen.
