Hi all,
For those who use wavosaur: since december 2012, it’s avaliable the lastest version 1.0.8.0
Here the link: http://www.wavosaur.com/download.php
I have used both editors. More wavosaur, though.
Cheers.
Hi guys,
Thanks for sharing ๐
Did you notice that plugins from the Jeroen’s new dedicated web (Toneboosters) are almost a gift? I qwote a little of that:
http://www.toneboosters.com/how-to-buy/
What are the limitations of the trial/evaluation plugins?
The trial/evaluation plugins are fully functional, except for parameter communication between the plugin and the host, which is disabled. Consequently, hosts will not store the settings of the trial/evaluation plugins upon save. Obviously the registered versions do not have this limitation.
I’ve been testing them, thinking that probably could have some problems with parameter automation but, fortunately, only saving presets is the limitation as it is said in the quote. No beeps each 30 seconds, non functional parameters or so…
So isn’t it almost a gift…?
Very kind attitude from Toneboosters, I think.
Yessssss! ๐
My iControls is already running in Podium!

Indeed!, thanks so much, Frits.
I began to understand the problem after your last reply. That was it, layer buttons don’t send midi messages, they are used for calling scenes previously mapped. So I took my time to find out the appropiate midi cc and assigned them. Miracle!
I even think these layer buttons can now add more possibilities for controlling, wich I didn’t value before..
Fully happy and proud of being a Podium licensed user.
Thanks and Greetings!

When you press the buttons for switching banks, do the ‘1’-‘8’ number indicators on the Podium mixer strips follow along?
Unfortunately not. ๐
I’ve just purchased the Podium license and will make a new test once I have installed it, tomorrow I guess. I’ll inform you about.
Happy anyway, I trust in this software, it’s about a personal taste. I’d like there was an easy solution for this.
Greetings.
Hi,
I’ve joined here looking for answers. After having been reading a few topics, finally found this:

All three Nano’s work in Podium.
Hello djshaun, I think this can help me. I explain:
I’ve got an iCON iControls (bassically in the same line of Korg nanokontrol 2). It’s MCU emulated. I’d like to know if, in your case, the button commands for changing between tracks work correctly and if they still do with more than 8 channels.
The iControls has two buttons for moving between 4 banks (not tracks, I think) of 8 channels each but, in my case, only bank 1 responds correctly. Your experience with nano would help me to find out if iControls uses or not the same control function as nanokontrol2 for this buttons. Then I could inform Zynewave about.
Though i can manage changing manually each 8 channels, it’s not the same that controlling 32 channels with a simple button touch (perfect!)
It seems there aren’t many users of iControls in the forum and i have to read and post in these topics about nanokontrol…
Cheers!
Hi again,
You’re right, Frits, thank you for the clarification. It has no sense to assign iControls as midi input for using it as a control surface… ๐ณ Though this didn’t change the way it works.
@Zynewave wrote:
there are button commands for moving the controlled channels up/down in banks of 8 or single channels. Maybe the iControl has an option to use these commands.
Yes, iControl has two buttons for changing between 4 banks, up and down (“layer” is the name used in the hardware). But i couldn’t make them work as they are supposed to. Only bank 1 works correctly. If i move to any other bank the controls fail to respond. I did some new tests and only could use more than 8 channels by changing the banks manually, in control surface page, adding intervals of 8 channels (channel offset).
No way of solving Podium to crash when i send new data to the controller and leave the iCON sotware opened…I even can’t know if i’m assigning appropriate midi values. I better prefer not to use the software and work like i commented before. At least it works!
Hoping i can make these buttons work (i’d like to know how…any advice is welcome), that is not so a big problem for considering to jump to a 64 bits world. Maybe in a few days.
Greetings.
Hi Frits,
Thank you for your reply. Iยดll try to explain carefully:

I assume you are talking about this:

Yes, that is.
@Zynewave wrote:
When the iControls is connected through USB, does it present more than one MIDI in/out interface in the Podium Audio/MIDI dialog?
Yes, two midi inputs appear as:
iCON iControl v1.01
MIDIIN2 (iCON iControl v1.01)
and one midi output as:
iCON iControl v1.01
In the midi input options of each track, two pairs of midi inputs appear as follows:
iCON iControl v1.01
iCON iControl v1.01 (with a 16 channels new box)
MIDIIN2 (iCON iControl v1.01)
MIDIIN2 (iCON iControl v1.01) (with 16 channels new box)

Can you describe in more detail how Podium crashes? Does it occur immediately on startup?
In order to use the four layers of the controller i started configuring layer 2 in iCon software, manually. After that, i saved it into a file for after use.
Once i loaded this file and sent data to the iCon controller, I opened Podium. Then this one crashed (yes, inmediatly on startup) with a message like “the program stopped working….”. In the details that windows shows it says APPCRASH.
It doesn’t occur if i don’t open any sofware, and the iCon still works (as you say, probably don’t lock in this way…). It’s great, but only 8 channels work, so i have to manage in the “control surfaces” box as i explained before…
What i’d most like to know if there is a way to make the four layers work without having to assign the same controller each interval of 8 channels. Isn’t there a standard function in MCU for this? It would be perfect.
Well, i hope this is useful. If you need any other detail iยดll be very glad to contribute.
Greetings.
Hi,
I’ve been reading this topic, coming from another that talked about nanokontrol.
Well, it happens something similar to me, what i explained in a new topic that i opened (sorry, i haven’t consulted in depth before):
http://www.zynewave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2970
Is there some testing made since the latest replies? Has anyone tried the i-controls?
Thanks and Greetings!
PS.- I tried my i-controls with the latest podium demo version by now (v 3.2.0). It would be so perfect if i could fully operate with my controller and leave the mouse parked a little…
I need to jump to 64 bits’ world ๐
