Hi everybody! 🙁 does some one knows about a Dx to Vst wrapper that can allow the use of Dx plugins with Podium ?
Console ($54) it’s a plug in host and wrapper (Not an audio sequencer) that works perfectly well with Podium 1.31 and even has its own user forum!
It has the following features…
DX > VST
VST > DX
DXi > VSTi
VSTi > DXi
Also because it has it’s own environment you could drag one instance of Console to an audio track and load as many DX FX as you like into console and simply chain them together.

So effectively you would not even need to continue to set up group tracks for FX in Podium if you don’t want to because Console will *host* as many FX as you want with just one instance…There is no limitation to the number of FX that can be hosted and chained together within Console.
It is pretty well suited to Podium and works very well.
Screenshot – Dont worry I only need one of those screens for wrapping FX and the main screen can be resized!

Brilliant Frits, thanks. 🙂
Thanks Frits. Looking forward to 1.32. 8)
Great Support! 🙂
Not sure about previous demo versions but that path you gave may answer my question.
But it also leads to another question. Let me explain…Podium is not installed on my C drive so my guess is, that is why Podium cannot find the file, it’s probably looking in the wrong place. 😕
As for the question it leads to…is it not possible to install Podium on another drive apart form C and have the Podium guide fully accessible from the view menu?
❓
I like to keep my System (windows) drive separate from Music applications. 😉

I actually had planned to start experimenting with docking the note/drum/curve/sound editors inside an arrangement editor. I don’t know if it will be ready for release 1.32.
No problem. When you are ready. 😉
Good stuff…thanks! 8)

I am thinking of switching hosts, and Podium seems to be the leading candidate. Does it support Stylus RMX well? That would put it over the top for me.
I have just started to use RMX in Podium and so far so good.
One issue with RMX though…the drag and drop feature in RMX http://www.spectrasonics.net/instruments/rmxfeatures/archives/2004/10/03/feature-10/does not work in Podium, at least not in the 1.29 demo. I just got the full version of Podium so I will report back to see if drag and drop works.
I would do all my drum mixing in RMX anyway, it has a full mixer with sends and truly sensational FX so I guess if that is also your way of using it then there are no issues that I can find.
But if you must use the drag and drop feature you might have to drag the mid file to your desktop or something and use Podiums file browser to drag it back to the Stylus track, all this can be done in real time in Podium (one of the best things about Podium just like Live4).
I’ll let you know how I get on with the full version of Podium, now that I have no need for the demo and have bought version 1.31.
