For the users that have reported problems with plugins in the 2.18 release: To test if the changes to the UAC build options in this beta has fixed the problems, you need to copy the beta exe to the program files/zynewave folder, and run it from there.
Well done Frits, my Guru problems are now fixed 🙂 =D>
Regarding the file location, do you mean “program files/zynewave” as opposed to “program files/zynewave/podium”? I tried it in both locations and it worked either way.

Looks like a new version of Nitro is not too far off…
“They also pre-announced a new plug-in, PSP N20 (pronounced “en two oh”) — “N” as in “Nitro”, PSP’s multimode filter plug-in. “
Scroll down the page here look for PSP Audioware to see a bit more info on it.
Interesting that the report is from namm ’08 around 18 months ago, and there is nothing on the PSP site about it. Still, Nitro is already very capable and versatile as it is.

@kingtubby: I’ll probably release a 2.19 beta in a few days. I’d appreciate if you could try this out and see if this fixes the Guru problems.
Will do.

Do you know where Guru stores your serial number info?
In the registry @HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREFXpansionGURU
Are any of Gurus data files stored in the Program Files folder?
There are some files stored in Program Files but they are only related to the standalone version I think. There is a separate folder called GuruData that contains all the sample data, etc which is installed in a location of the users choosing. In my case it’s on a second HD.

…anyway, I think most people would spell it as “lens”, was my point! Anyone disagree?
No, ‘lens’ is correct, but yeah ‘focus’ is probably better 🙂

I was just about to post here on the same topic…and yes the similarities are quite obvious 😯
The price point is probably the biggest difference 😀
