had a quick run with rc3 : it got an issue with midi note lengths : when recording with my mpd18 i can NOT alter the note lengths to say 1/32 – they stay at about 2 bars length ( does not happen with 2.42 ) – xp 32bit sp3 with respective rc3

Unfortunately, I don’t know when implementation of time-stretching will begin. Right now, my todo-list is overflowing with minor things that have been requested over the years, and I intend to thin out that list before I start on new major features. I doubt that time-stretching will be implemented this year.
Frits, would you mind giving some rough ideas about this to-do list???
I keep a list of bookmarks to topics in this forum that deal with stuff I agree should be improved/fixed. This list has currently grown to 50 topics. To keep my sanity, I’d like to thin out this list before moving on to new major features.
Frits, thanks for explaining but i’m still curious about this 50 topics ( which 50 topics that is ) 🙂
i know of the track properties but it’s not quite the same i think – in the quantize window i can generate and preview random note positions before applying it – that’s what i’d like to do with velocity too.

my guess is 600

Ok, testing Podium Free.
I’m not gonna use much time.Looking for a DAW that’s really good with handling tempo.
Podium is not mature on this feature. Two freezes.
So.. of I go..
so, why did you care to register just to post “you’re off” when you don’t invest much time?
if memory serves me well – you can’t right now because it’s not implemented yet, is it?
just to be clear : this would be my favorite way of step sequencing…

update :
navigation does not work the way i was talking about :
i’d like to be able to navigate to each cell in an even empty grid with the cursor keys and insert / delete notes there
as of now i have to insert a note and move this note to my liking
hope you can follow?!?
😳 😳 😳 😳 😳
was aware of navigation ( a rather crucial one to me ) but was not aware of inserting – RTFM you might say
😳 😳 😳 😳 😳
seems to be a feature not widely asked for, isn’t it?
😯
don’t know if it’s obvious but my workaround for this is :
use Midi-OX to merge different sources and Midi-Yoke to reroute the output of Midi-OX to Podium’s midi input.
edit : i don’t suffer from latency issues caused by rerouting midi data
well, there are reasons i’m searching for a way to use energy-XT like this
1) Step Sequence Mode ( i can navigate the grid with the cursor keys and place notes with the insert key – no need to touch the mouse for constructing beats )
2) Live Mode ( i can select various patterns trough midi notes ) –> something like Ableton Live
3) use multiout synths / samplers in Podium
sounds like ReWire to me …
i’m looking for this :
use energy-XT VST as step sequencer to trigger Poise plugged into Podium ( i could plug it into energy-XT but it doesn’t support multi out right now … )
