i read the posters join date by mistake?
i hope they get back to you.
thanks
man, they are not very responsive, that was Feb 07!
would you consider trying again?
thanks!
Frits, when i try to bounce i keep getting this message—-Amplitube has performed an illegal operation. the plug turns red in the track inspector and i have to delete the track. the bounce never happens.
i tested with PowerCore TC Thirty and the bounce was fine.
any ideas?
thanks!
thanks Frits.
thanks JP………..i’ll check it out.
for those interested giancarlo got it fixed. nice job over there at acustica!!
check out the free version, this plug is unique!
hi klemperer! hope all is well for you.
i knew there was a music lounge. i just really like the radio stations. SAW had one and VS Planet has one. I enjoyed just playing them for extended periods now and again.
i don’t know how expensive it is to set up………..but on the VS station everybody was pitchen in and doing short shows…it was a blast.
maybe one day……….
Yes that is what I thought I read, cheers. Christophe, yes. As for the Mega bucks I read about…so it is not a rumour. Fat chance of anyone buying him out in future.
the only thing unclear is how much. the sale of Winamp to AOL was in the area of $400,000,000. much of the payment was AOL stock and justins father, an attorney who did much to help Win Amp and sell the comapny, was certainly paid well.
so that rumor mill we talked about has it from $50,000,000 to $200,000,000.
either number makes for lots of financial comfort……….
oh yeah, the Win Amp deal was send $10 if you like the program…. remember? well, that alone generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for justin. a true piece of trivia is justin did not want to charge for Win Amp or have a donation but his father insisted it would be a good idea. dear ole dad! 🙂
Did he give any hint?
one thing i heard was it will change the internet. whatever that means…. and if it is a fair comment…as opposed to the typical gossip that flows so mightely. 😉
i would say Conquistador, you know more about Reaper than 1.0!!
personally i am not concerned about the list above of features that reaper has vs podium. fortunately i do not use rewire, rearoute, cd burning inside reaper or podium, etc. etc.
i am just not of the opinion that reapers feature rich list is that significant. i am however impressed at how fast it is happening.
and yes, Justin works with Christoph but it is easy to see Justin is the driving force. justin is in fact worth a fortune but i believe what that gives him most is the comfort of unlimited attention to his projects….of which there are two other major projects he won’t discuss in detail.
as i stated above reaper is as stable as podium.
i believe that with only a few small exceptions reaper is ahead of cubase and sonar.
although it is not important to me the development at reaper is exceedingly faster than podium. justin puts out an average of two updates per week and most of the time they are not just fluff!
anyway, it is fun to read other peoples thoughts on the comaprison. fwiw i like podium better. and, i like watching reaper move forward. i would have paid the $49 just for that!
i own reaper but hardly use it, not because it is not a good program it is just that Frits layout is the way i would design it. but, justin is obviously a programming genius. his almost daily significant updates and the flexibility of the program will probably change the industry. i really believe that.
they are very different in their approach but both are fine products that do most of what i need. most important might be that they are both rock solid in performance. two significant areas where podium is ahead is automation and midi, fwiw.
i have owned and used Sonar 4, Cubase sx2, Tracktion, Samplitude (came with my FF800) and SAW Full. i guess i still own all of them but SAW, podium fits my style and Frits is damn nice to respond to things we think are important!
Frits, we know it is their problem.
Nebula Free does not have the same problem becasue of its limited libray. Would they not provide a neb2 for you to check out? Better yet, maybe they should buy Podium!
Anyway, if you are inclined Giancarlo is a very nice guy and these guys are definitely on to something!
In the meantime they are testing with Reaper which apparently has the same problem with Nebula.
Thanks
My computer is a P4 – 3.4 gHz, 2 gig ram, and it cannot handle the verbs. too cpu intensive.
anybody else?
thanks
Frits, I do not know if you saw my edit. I meant can I turn an fx on and off with automation?
Thanks
i have to run in a second. i cannot unlink my edit window from my track window. again, i might be confused about what to expect.
i will catch up tomorow.
thanks
