I’ve had that same thought. It will be implemented at some point.

@ Zynewave: You mean the Sound Properties in the ‘Arrangement & Sounds’ Window?
Yes, that’s one place to access the dialog. You can also open the sound properties dialog from the “List” panel or the sound events placed on tracks.

Yes, I offten change the instruments and effects in Reason and than have to looking for it on the list. It will be usefull for me if the sort function will be “switchable” and works permanently after switching it.
The “sort alphabetically” is a command that is performed once. It is not a “mode” which will reshuffle the list automatically each time the name of an object changes.
And one more problem… changing the instrument preset in Reason can cause change device type… say from NN-XT to any COMBINATOR type of instrument, just by changing a preset. Than I have to manualy change a MIDI track destination in Podium because NN-XT no more exist and Podium do not switch output of its MIDI track to new instrument in Reason automatically. Is it possible Podium konnekt automatically new device?
The list is created based on a MIDI target number and bus number. When I tested with Reason I did not find an obvious logic behind the numbering, so it will not be easy to try to make automatic mapping reassignments based on these numbers.

I’m not really getting why there is a dialogue to save a Project as and give it another filename but not the same thing for Arrangements.
Because arrangements are not saved in separate files. They are contained within the project file. If you prefer to only have one arrangement per project, then just use “save project as”.
If you want to take “snapshots” of an arrangement in progress, use the “new unique copy” and add a timestamp or something to the name the new arrangement so that you can identify it. Then continue working in the original arrangement and repeat the “new unique copy” when you want a new snapshot.
Note that the ReWire MIDI device list will be updated each time you change the devices in the Reason application, which can cause the list to become “unsorted” again.

No, still the same problem. Note that the syncing only messes up when plugins are on the mastertrack. If i remove the plugins on the master everything works fine.
If you try to set the ASIO buffer size to the max available for your driver (larger than 100 ms), my guess is you will still notice the sync problem even without plugins on the master. It can be difficult to hear with a reverb effect. I still suspect you have some sort of feedback issue.
I have routed output 1 and 2 of my interface to the analog inputs on the V-verb and the analog-outs of the V-verb are connected to analog input 1 and 2. The optical out on my interface is connected to the optical in on the V-verb and the optical out of the V-verb is connected to the optical in on my interface (a Terratec Phase x24 Firewire). The Terratec is clocked externally to the V-verb and the output chosen on the mastertrack is now 3 and 4, which are the outputs my monitors are connected to.
Sounds ok. If you send me the project file again I’ll check that the setup is ok. If your soundcard comes with a mixer control panel, please check that it is not set to mix the analog output on 1+2 into the 3+4 output that you use for monitoring. That is the case with e.g. my RME interface, where by default all outputs are being submixed into the phones output.
Edit: I have discovered this does only happen with certain plugins.
Messy: Nebula, Voxengo Polysquasher, Wavearts Trackplug 5
Everything ok: Voxengo’s Marquis, delamancha’s bathtub, Voxengo’s Soniformer2.
I’m guessing all the “messy” plugins have a long latency. You can check the latency with the “Latency” control in the mixer.
If I run Podium 2.09 through a “Dependency Walker” tool, I get this list of dependant system dlls:
winmm.dll
comctl32.dll
version.dll
msimg32.dll
kernel32.dll
user32.dll
gdi32.dll
comdlg32.dll
advapi32.dll
shell32.dll
ole32.dll
msvcp60.dll
msvcrt.dll
These are all standard Windows system libraries. There are also different versions of these, so even though you may have the dll, it could still be an older version that is missing some functions.
Does an error message appear when you try to run Podium?
How are your external devices connected to your soundcard? I’m asking because your “V-verb analog” mapping is configured to output on channel 1+2, which is the same channels that your master “Multichannel 1 PHASE X24 FW+2 PHASE X24 FW” is mapped to. That is why you are hearing the output to the V-verb mixed into your main mix output.
After testing your file, I found that it had been corrupted, but I don’t know how this could have happened. In the middle of some parameters labeled “CV Seq 2-CV Seq 1-28” etc. the parameter name seemed to have been overwritten with the text “Metal”. Can you remember if you were editing an object or a preset in a plugin named “Metal”?
Anyway, I replaced the “Metal” text with the proper parameter name, and the project file can now be loaded. I’m emailing you the fixed project file back, but please check that everything is ok. I’ve also made a small change in Podium so that it now reports the file to be corrupt, instead of crashing.
Please let me know if it happens again, and if so send the corrupt file.
Please send the project file.
