when pressing ctrl and clicking on the pitch dial, the pitch is set to the lowest value
Currently zPitch uses the generic editor interface, so that’s why it resets to zero. I plan to create a small native zPitch editor which will reset to center when ctrl-clicking the pitch dial. It will also have an additional semitone dial, as an alternative way of adjusting pitch. I think this removes the need for default semitone presets.
might it not be a good idea to possibly have at least one demo project in Podium with just the existing zplugs?
That’s the goal. But the zReverb is not included with the demo version, so it’s really only zPEQ that can be used. Maybe I’ll create a demo version of the zReverb plugin (with some parameters locked). I also would like to have zSynth before spending time on creating demo projects.
Hi,
1: No. Rewire is on the plan, but I have no estimate on when Podium will support it.
2: The simplest way is to create bounce tracks for each MIDI track you want to use with the Xiosynth, and then do realtime bounce recording of one track at the time.
Be sure to check out the video tutorials in the wiki (and the slightly older videos on the about page). They give a good insight in how the hierarchy works.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll include zPitch in the installer of the next release. I’ll still try to improve the time-stretch quality in the coming weeks.
Hi Dave,
I’ll try to take it from the beginning then too: You don’t mention what kind of instrument you are using to generate sound. Are you trying to play a softsynth plugin with your MIDI keyboard?

Earlier versions of Podium included demo projects with Free synths/effects.
Are tey available somewhere?
The 3 old demo projects are still included in the installer. You should find them in the “My DocumentsZynewave Podium Projects” folder.
Is there a step-by-step idiots guide somewhere?
There is the “getting started” tutorial at the start of the Podium guide. It’s also highly recommendable to watch the new video tutorials created by Podianer:

Question to thockin and koalaboy: Are you using Hyperthreading or Dual core/processor PCs?
Indeed, it is multi-core. This makes the crash on FLStudio plugs go away. However, now it hangs when probing the FL Studio plugins about half the time. I just scanned 6 times and it hung 3 times.
It’s likely that this problem is not there with the fix I made to the scan procedure. The 1.80 demo version will be released within a week.
