ZynewaveKeymasterBeen a while since I used this feature, so I just tested it to see it was still working. The amount of randomization is scaled according to note lengths. Anything above quarter notes are applied the full timing randomization. You probably have very short notes in your drum sequence.

I don’t use MIDI or small looped audio files, and the wave files are often around 500 Mb / 1 Gb.
With only a few little files or at start it is not really noticeable, but after it makes working rather impossible.I’m currently looking at this. It would be a big help if you could email me your project file.
after several minutes of playback and editing Podium becomes to be far less responsive and Windows too
How many minutes? And up to the point where overload occurs, does the project play fine without UI slowdown?
Edit: I’m about to release 1.65 with various bug-fixes unrelated to the disk-streaming. I’ll continue working on the disk streaming for the next releases.
ZynewaveKeymasterThe wiki site is now redesigned to fit in with the new zynewave.com website design. Feel free to start editing the wiki. The old page revisions can be restored should you happen to mess up something. I will also regularly back up the wiki database.
ZynewaveKeymasterI should work on the german translation. There is so much to translate..
I appreciate that, but it’s probably best to wait until I have completed messing around with the wiki.
ZynewaveKeymasterFrits, the Wiki doesn’t look good anymore..
Hehe 😆 . Once again you checked while I’m online experimenting with the layout. Refresh your browser page.
ZynewaveKeymasterThe wiki login authentication is now updated. The old manually created user accounts are now deleted. Instead use your forum name and password when logging in to the wiki. All registered forum users thus can edit the wiki.
ZynewaveKeymaster🙂
Don’t worry, I’m currently experimenting with the login procedure. I’m trying to make the forum registration work as login for the Wiki as well. Will save me the timed needed for adding users manually to the Wiki.
ZynewaveKeymasterThanks for the files. The bug is fixed for the next 1.65 release.
ZynewaveKeymasterI can’t make it crash. I configured Phrazor to use 16 stereo in/outs. Can you email me a project file with instructions on what you do to make it crash?
Are you using the VSTi or the FX version?
Is monitoring enabled when you add the tracks? (i.e will the plugin load immediately when you create the tracks).
ZynewaveKeymasterbut i confirm that podium1.64 is not sending any midi to my sw1k
I found the problem. One of the optimizations in 1.64 included using a Windows routine that seems to fail on OS’s prior to XP. That’s why I didn’t see the bug on my XP development machine. I now tried it on my old W2K machine, and sure enough, no MIDI output. Bug fix version will be up in a day or two.
ZynewaveKeymasterI’ve added a screenshot slideshow to the home page.
If some of you want to help out, and want your Podium screen on the zynewave.com home page, then email me some screenshots of Podium in action. I know some of you are using rather agressive color schemes, so I can’t guarentee that I’ll put your screens in the slideshow 😉
Please send the screenshots preferrably as .png or .bmp files.
ZynewaveKeymasterwhy not poll some of your users to see if there is an interest in maintaining the web site for you. I don’t think I would be going to far out on a limb in saying that we (the collective we) would much sooner see you focusing on continuing the development of this fine product rather than maintaining a web site.
I agree. The new site has the ‘Wiki’ page in the top bar. I hope to leave this section in the hands of the users. The Podium guide pages on the old site is moved to the Wiki, so with the exception of the news on the home page, the remaining pages will rarely need to be updated.
ZynewaveKeymasterI’ll download Phrazor and try it out.
ZynewaveKeymasterThen I create 14 Tracks with Phrazor mappings plus bounce ability. In 5 arrangements, Podium crashed the first and the second time, when doing so. Sometimes all went correct after the third time of using the wizard. Could this be related to the newly featured multi outputs of Phrazor, or is there something on Podium’s side, that causes these crashes?
So when you say crash, you mean the dialog popup saying that a plugin has performed an illegal action?
ZynewaveKeymasterpodium told me also one time that it could not initialise the project at 48000khz , and another time it could not initialise the sw1000 midi in
This would normally be an indication that another program is running which locks the audio or MIDI interfaces. This could explain why you didn’t get any sound out of Podium. When you have a spare moment, I would appreciate if you could verify this one more time: Reinstall 1.64 and make sure there are no other audio/midi applications running when you start Podium.
