Any chance of this finding it’s way onto the list??
Sure, I’ll add it to the list right now, although I don’t consider this an important feature.
Hi Dan,
Before studying your suggestions I wanted to finish with the 1.01 release. With that out of the way a few hours ago, I have now considered your suggestions. They are all good suggestions, so I don’t have much to say, except that they are now included in the Future Development topic.

Hi Banjostar,
Glad you like Podium.
Doing changes to selected notes (length and so on) rather than doing it one at a time. And I have a hard time seeing the grid in the piano roll.
A lot of users have mentioned the selected notes editing, so I’ll add a higher priority to this. The latest 1.01 release has improved the visibility of the grid lines.

Hi Ruben,
Is Podium coming to the Mac platform?
Sorry to disappoint you, but it won’t happen this year. I do have some experience with OSX programming, but I have chosen to concentrate on adding to the Podium feature set instead.
are you saying that in the very next version of podium, it will do the same thing than in (for example) fruitloops, by giving you a list of native vst parameters ?
Yes.
for the moment the problem is that (naturally) when you press record and tweak a knob in the vst editor it don’t do a thing in podium if the CC isn’t registered. would the 1.01 update change that ?
1.01 will allow you to automate VST parameters using the editors/mixer in Podium. Support for recording movements of knobs in VST editors is coming in a later update.
Hi noswing,
The VST format unfortunately does not allow a host to request what MIDI parameters a plugin supports. Therefore these need to be entered manually in Podium, with the help of the MIDI documentation for the plugin. If you use the project wizard to import plugin definition files from the library, these definition files will already contain configurations for MIDI parameters. Not all plugins support MIDI parameters. The Pro52 does, but I have not yet created a definition file for it. You can see a picture of the CC numbers here.
The next v1.01 update will support native VST parameters. These parameters are created automatically when you import a plugin dll file into Podium.

The preorder offer has expired. This poll was before the v1.00 release.
Yes the VAT can be confusing. The Euro price excl. VAT is 72€ which should match the 90 US$.
What technology (api/sdk) did you use the produce such slick graphics…is it a well known one…or is it something home grown?
I use http://www.paintlib.de for graphics file loading (the bitmaps you can load in the project settings), and for primitive stuff like blurred resizing of bitmaps etc. Everything else is homegrown.
The visual spacing between each piano key a-a#-b-c-c#…is not even on the piano roll
The keyboard is laid out as a real piano, with equal spacing between the white keys. Are you saying you prefer it to be spaced evenly between each note? If so, then I could add a mode to the keyboard region properties that would allow you to select your preferred layout.
In Rearrange mode I would like to be able to move all / selected notes around the screen using the arrow keys.
I plan on using the arrow keys for navigating the notes. Maybe use ctrl/shift+arrow keys to displace the selected notes with the current snap quantize value. + and – keys could be used to adjust velocity. Add a few more key shortcuts such as a key to insert a note, and then we are not far away from having step sequencing implemented.
Hmm, can you audition softsynths using your MIDI keyboard?. Try to select the ‘Ignore time stamps from driver’ option for the MIDI input in the interfaces dialog.
Again, you could email me the project with the arrangement that you’re trying to record MIDI to. Maybe I can detect something in the setup that causes the crash.
Hi Maji,
I intend to put out an update once a week, two weeks at most.
I cannot promise when I will have sends implemented. My best guess is a couple of months.

Hi okdac,
Everything is ok with the interface report. What I meant was that you could email me the project (.pod) file that you have saved. I could then take a look at how you have arranged your tracks.
You probably have missed the step where you place a master output as the first and topmost track. All tracks producing audio should be below it. If you email me your project file with the error, I can quickly tell you what the problem is.
