The template file seems ok to me. It imports like shown in the screenshot of your previous post. Can you give me more details about what is not working?

This can happen if the preset has been removed from the track with the plugin. To test, try and create a new project, import the plugins in question, set them up in an arrangement, and see if preset changes are saved with the project.

The Drumatic 3.02 plugin is now imported correctly.
The “+” and selector buttons in track chain panels are translucent when no devices are assigned.
Modified the Fader and Meter submenus. Added “After Sends”, “After Effects” and “Before Effects” shortcuts and moved the effect track list to a submenu.
Sound and MIDI files can be dropped below the last track lane header to create new tracks. Previously they could only be dropped on the timeline area.
Fix: Deleting a track would not always set focus to the next track when showing tagged tracks.

If you have suggestions for further videos, please let me know. I’m working on creating one or two videos demonstrating how to set up sidechaining.

So when I move the vsti knobs directly with the mouse , an automation track for the parameter is automatically created but when I use the midi controller nothing is recorded although the vsti is responding to my tweakings because the knobs are moving and the sound is changing…To test if it is something that have gone wrong in your project, you could try to create a new project from scratch and reimport plugins. If you suspect something is corrupted in your project, then please email me your project file so that I can test it.

Confirmed. I need to put in some further checks to make it import correctly. The plugin is unusual because it reports that it supports a 12 output multi-channel speaker configuration, which makes Podium skip the normal multiple stereo configurations. I’ll put up a new 2.27 beta later today.
ZynewaveKeymasterI hope one day to implement this as a zPlugin, which will integrate into the Podium UI.

You can drag wav, aif and midi files from either a Windows explorer or the Podium browser, and drop the files onto tracks. Last night I uploaded a YouTube video that shows how this is done:

Note that this uses the upcoming Podium 2.27, so there are some things that are different. One new thing is that you can drop the files below the last track header. Before you had to drop them on the timeline area.

I just tested with Nucleum, and when I have the VSTi track record armed, and started recording, then sending MIDI control changes from my keyboard records the VSTi parameter automation as expected.

I’m just kidding… However, I do honestly fail to see the reason.I thought that with the new “+” button in the track toolbar, and double-click in the tracks and mixer regions, it’s now more obvious how to add new tracks. I found that more often than not, I prefer to start out with no tracks, and drag in sound files or mappings to create tracks. If I’m not mistaken, I believe that most other hosts also start out with an empty track list ❓

Try the new beta6. It should import mono-sidechain plugins (2-in, 1-out) correctly. I’ve been testing with FabFilter Pro-C, which I think uses a similar dll filename system as Volcano 2.
The insert mappings created for the FF sidechain dlls are indeed unnecessary as there are other dlls for non-sidechain usage. But I can’t see a bulletproof method for not creating these insert mappings. Take for example the Rocket compressor, which only comes as one dll supporting 4-in and 2-out. In that case you need the insert mappings for when you want to use it as an insert without external sidechaining. :-k
Other minor new stuff in beta6:
Right-clicking the power button shows an option menu.
Shift+Click and Alt+Click can be used on the loop, punch in and punch out buttons to set loop/punch at the edit cursor position or around the current selection. Right-clicking the buttons will open an options menu.
Increased the font size used in stickie notes.
When adding a bus send that does not yet have a return track, a messagebox pops up asking whether the return track should be created.
The New Arrangement dialog now defaults to zero audio tracks and zero bus sends.
The “+” buttons for inserting effects are now also shown on the track lane headers.

When you open the plugin you can route the 16 instruments to separate stereo outputs. The template used to load the plugin with all of the routing set up.
If the plugin import process would set up the 16 MIDI inputs and 32 audio outputs as part of the device definition, it would negate part of the need for the template.
What I’d like to know is whether you think that track template loading is broken. You said it doesn’t work with 2.26 or later. If you mean that the template file loaded ok in 2.25, but not in 2.26, then please email me the template file. As far as I can remember, I haven’t tampered with the template loading in recent versions.
If the multi dll version of GPO4 doesn’t import with all supported output mappings, then it’s the plugin that works in a different way than all other multi-output plugins I’ve tried. There is no demo of GPO4, so I can’t test this until I pay the 50$ to upgrade my GPO2 to GPO4.
