Right-click on the track header where the impOSCar is assigned. Monitoring must be activated to see the preset menus. You can also click on the menu button in the header of the preset panel in the inspector.

Thanks, got it. It still seems like a VERY obtuse and awkward way of changing banks compared to most other hosts that have a file menu attached to the synth gui when displayed.

Does this procedure have to be followed for every bank for every track for every project? I know you can make a template, but having a preset/bank selector attached to the synth gui is far easier to use. To say the least, this proceedure is very frustrating and a waste of time.

Far easier to just load Chainer or eXT as a track host and voila! you have a much simpler solution that improves workflow and saves time.

    1) right click on the impOSCar track and choose “Create new bank” or whatever it says, as opposed to create new preset

I hope you can wrok out what I’m talking about as I don’t have Podium in front of me so this is going by memory 😉

I don’t understand from your description-no matter where I click on the track with midi events, I can’t see anything remotely like what you describe! 😳

Do you have the KarmaFX synth installed?

Yes I did have it installed. I had forgotten about it, but now that I see the problems it causes, I removed it. No big deal, I wasn’t that interested in it.

When you had the problem with blank menus, had you been importing plugins or loading plugins by activating arrangement monitoring?

If you load the problematic project again, does the menus turn blank right away, or only when you activate monitoring?

All I had done was a ”quick setup” in the Project Wizard. Then all menus were blank. That’s all I did.

    🙁

all the menus are just a blank box, no printing in the menus or when you right click.

Could you try this for me: Select ‘new project’, exit Podium, start up again. Are the menus still blank?

No, the menus now show printing as they would normally do.

What was the previous Podium version you used without problems?

All other versions of Podium did not have this problem.

What Windows version are you using?

    Windows XP Home.

Just did a fresh install of Podium 137 and all the menus are just a blank box, no printing in the menus
    or when younright click.

Never had this problem with Podium before…
    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I think -48 – +48 semitones is as far as anyone really needs, and it’ll be easy to dial in so that would be my choice.

8 octaves should be enough. Anyone here with a 30 octave keyboard? 🙂

i’d say to use semitones from -48 – 48 since it’s the easiest to work with (for me at least) 🙂

Agreed. I don’t see any reason to limit the range. Or is there? 😕

The ‘transpose notes on input’ only works on notes received on a MIDI input interface. If you have a recorded note sequence, then the only way currently is to transpose the notes with the keyboard editor. Recently there was a forum discussion about adding a transpose setting to the track properties. I’ll try to implement that for the next release.

Thanks. I missed that discussion, but can see where many would want the feature for editing.

Looking forward to the next release.

    Hi everyone,

I found the main Podium screen to be cluttered, even if it seemed quite functional.

Do you know that the mixer and the bar on the left (Master,Input, Map,Preset, etc.) can both be hidden by pressing the buttons with the ‘arrow’ or triangle on them?

Also, the arrangement window for each track is a separate window. If you use dual monitors you can leave the arrangement window open on the second monitor.

And finally, you can decide the arrangement for the various onscreen windows and toolbars. Go to :
ViewProfile Properties . Here you can move, copy, delete toolbars and windows and also create setups for different tasks such as arranging, drums, editing, etc in the Profile editor type.

You might also want to look at the thread ‘Podium Screens’ where some users have posted screen shots of how they work:
