Coincidently, I bought my first guitar a couple of months back – a Crafter TA050 which is a copy of a Martin parlour style guitar – it has a slightly thinner body and the upper bout is smaller than the dreadnought style, hence it’s probably not as full sounding as your Taylor, but the size and shape feel comfortable to me.
I’ve been mainly concentrating on practicing technique, finger drills and chord changes and so on, rather than learning songs atm – but hey, that’s just me 🙂

Instead of replacing it I opted to upgrade to a more expensive western guitar. I’m now the happy owner of a Taylor 110
That’s a fair step up in price Frits 🙂
How is your learning experience so far? Are you finding the steel string easier to learn on, over the classical – with the narrower neck and all?
Mart.
heheh 😀 well, at least I pointed you in the right direction…

Have you got ‘hide tracks in group’ selected? Right-click tracks menu or Ctrl+G.
Apologies if I’m stating the obvious 🙂

Where, exactly, are the options for removing the arrows and for making the Pan dials into faders ?
It’s not just you, I can’t find it either. Is it supposed to be in the ‘Mixer Region Properties’?
Is there no way of having separate mouse activation areas that will just bring up Menu options for that particular feature ?
e.g. right click on the Pan Dial/Fader and a pop up menu with the option to change it to a Fader/Dial, Pan Law etc appears.
Agree – More right-click context menus would help I think.

Thanks for the replies. Dual-boot seems like a reasonable solution for an off the shelf pc. The other option I’m considering is doing a bit of research into hardware/xp drivers and building my own box from scratch, though extra cost might be an issue with that I guess…
On another point, I recall reading somewhere that MS were considering releasing slimmed down versions of Vista for more specific usage i.e. music and so on – don’t know if there’s any truth in that?
Cheers,
Mart.

i’m not sure……….can you explain it?
thanks
Ah, I guess you’re talking about working in the main arrangement rather that individual editors. I can’t find a way to quickly select and delete parts from individual tracks in the arrangement editor. Ctrl+T will make a cut at the cursor position though. Are you using the red punch in/out markers when recording?

The play/stop buttons work on my Novation Remote keyboard controller.

Personally, I’ll reserve judgment on Nucleum until I hear it. I do however support the idea that it should look more consistant with the Podium UI if at all possible. Have you tried using the other 2D standard knob that comes with SM? – It’s pretty straight forward to change the colours, line thickness and so on. There is also the animated-strip bitmap knob. I think either of these would go some way to ‘fitting’ the Podium look without too much difficulty.
FWIW, I like the way Operator integrates into the Ableton Live interface and something along those lines would be more in keeping with the high class Podium UI. But that is clearly beyond the scope of what you’re doing here.
Mart.
Well, I’m sticking with XP for the time being. Though my PC is relatively antiquated, the excellent track bounce in Podium does the job for me…
