Thanks, I missed that video initially. I checked it out and was able to get multitimbral going. The paradigm around multitimbral is quite unique, and as was pointed out, not intuitive at all.
Once you understand it, it’s easy to use and is flexible. Also, when you’ve set up a particular multi-timbral instrument, save the track template for easy recall later.
iirc, there was mention about multi-takes for midi, as there already is for audio. That was quite some time ago though.
There is a guide to all the keyboard shortcuts here:
Assuming you’ve already set up your midi ins/outs on the project page, have you selected the midi input device on the instrument track header? It’s the lower selector on the track header in the pic
Well, donβt worry too much. I have plans to bypass that limitation and you can enjoy Nora in Podium without messing up with virtual midi cables.
ooh! – interesting π
2. The Shortcut Keys guide insists on using Internet Explorer when all other actions involving web-based content open the default system browser (in my case Firefox). I would prefer to not have to use Internet Explorer at all.
Opening the main Podium guide uses the default browser, and the shortcuts section is right at the end/bottom. I’m not sure why the menu link to shortcuts defaults to IE – maybe it’s something to do with linking to a part of a html document perhaps? I dunno.
Digging up an old thread here, but a tip on a thread @kvr regarding the Kontakt vst plugin seems to have solved the problem I was having as described in the first post here. The solution is to disable the multi-processor support in the options/engine tab of the Kontakt vst plugin. So far, this seems to be working here. I’m now using Kontakt 5, but I guess it should work with v4 as well.
I’m not too sure to be honest, as I’ve never done what you are asking, but if you go to preferences under the setup menu, then select the ‘play/record’ tab and under ‘record enabled midi messages’ uncheck the control change and sysex boxes. As I say, I don’t really know but it might be worth a try…
