+1 for this FR.
The links seem fine to me, all three of them ?
Aye, this thread wasn’t updating as i published the posts, so kept repeating the procedure. After logging off and on again, after a while, the posts were there. Now i’m unable to tidy up by deleting redundant messages. Thanks for being gracious with my gremlin.
Hi nicholas.h,
You’re able to adapt any element of Podium’s GUI by editing Editor Profiles. Access the controls from Setup > Editor Profiles….
Here is a setup file which has been altered to exclude the scalpel tool from Podium’s default setup:
Setup file that eliminates scalpel tool in Sound Event Editors
Use the menu command Setup > Load Setup… and select the file to apply it.
i’ve established a Facebook page called “Podium Poppets”.
i’m unable to post a link here, but a manual search should yield the required result. See you there!
Podium Poppets on Facebook.
Here’s a Facebook Podium Poppets page.
Here’s a Facebook Podium Poppets page, if you’re so inclined.
Sad news today. SoundCloud is terminating Groups. Here is information i received via email notification of the change.
… we’ve decided to phase out Groups on Monday, August 22nd to make room for future updates.
Until then, you can collect, like or repost the content you would like to save, and connect with your fellow Group members.
As a Group moderator, we understand the following you’ve built by moderating submissions to your Groups — we suggest to keep that following going by creating a profile to curate. You can use Reposts and Playlists to share suitable tracks, and accept submissions via Messages.
For fear of tardy maintenance, on my part, i’m reluctant to create a profile and curate it as suggested.
On the bright side, it appears that embedding players is accepted on this forum thread. Therefore, i submit that we simply use this thread to share work.
Many thanks to all who’ve made submissions to the ‘Podium Poppets’ thus far. It has been a pleasure to hear all works 🙂
p.s. Curse the economic rationalists at SoundCloud corporate headquarters !!!!!
Thanks Charlie Emi, it looks great on the timeline.
And if you select the “Dye track image with timeline fill color”, the logo seems to be isolated.
Hi stebo,
i couldn’t replicate your bug. i am using the full version of Podium.
These samples had a samplerate (44.1kHz) which differed from my arrangement samplerate (48kHz). As a result, they played slightly pitched up, and faster, but were able to be used.
i also did this with my biggest sample folder, 148 samples, in one operation. They were all inserted into the arrangement at the edit cursor.
One thing i didn’t try was using files of varying bit depth. They were also short samples (up to about 12secs).
Hello Katia,
Once you’ve selected a MIDI input, as kingtubby suggests, you can engage the option to “Auto-Assign to Focus Track” (right-click menu on MIDI In slot).
You’ll also need to click the “R” button to arm that track for recording. When you hit record, on the main transport, the armed track(s) will highlight in red.
