-Trying to center the piano roll content to vertical height would accelerate the workflow I think
-I don’t know if this is a GUI related FR or an easy one, but please, remember an option for right click that delete and unselect notes.
Sorry for massive requesting Frits, but I see tons of minor GUI object/behaviour that could benefits from some love 🙂
try to load the device setup from a new template with the new path?
You can consider the devices list as a “direct access list”. You can move them, delete, rename because they are just direct access to plugins. If Podium doesn’t find a plugin that you have changed its path do Devices–>Search missing plugins
Hope this helps 🙂
And one more tiny request: not preview edited or added notes while Podium is playing, it’s pretty confusing and more confusing if you’re using some drums that cut theirself (Open hat – Close hat, as example)
Thanks Frits, it works. Another minor GUI request, could be possible set a maximum track height? I don’t like when I hide the embedded editor and the tracks seems gum…
You’re big man! Thanks!
I find some bugs. I added a timeline ruler to embedded piano roll for try this, and there were the bugs I find (click on it):
1. Piano Roll and Piano Roll embedded are confused when you open it in embedded or in a floating window
2. The embedded version doesn’t show the clip’s lenght, instead it shows until the end of the last note in the clip.
And a suggestion, would be nice an option where mixer and embedded editor were mutually exclusive? So you could alternate between them quickly, saving some of your screen height. I even could say that mixer could be another function of embedded editor, which would autoshow itself when a track header were selected (instead a clip).

I’m not dismissing it. I’m just explaining why I have made an effort to avoid wasted vertical space. I’ll consider adding an option in the embedded editor region properties, to enable non-embedded editor profiles as well.
Thanks you Frits! it would be the option I’d use =P~
We say this, namunger, because we don’t like open tons of windows (and personally I hate the window’s title bar inside a program as beatiful as Podium).
best regards
Paradoxically this track remembered me to the Blade movie main theme, in the way that hihat comes in, but instead a sqr 303 you use that Oatmeal loop. Anyway you can benefit from filters and tools as Glitch, imho. Anyway it sound good.
Now that I’ve heard your track I’m motivated for do another techno tune – I always say the same but later I get bored about it and I do trance/dance 😛
btw i wanted say that I seem the only person in the world that hates oatmeal, the knobs cannot be centered easily and it’s bored program it, I like more inmediate and easy synths, as Firebird
Cheers!
I’m a techno detroit freak, I never could do this music because when I do it I think that there is too repetitive, but ironically I can hear it without problems 😯
My comments about your track (hearing it from headphones):
The base beat, which you start the song, is very nice, although it seems a wav loop due to you don’t change it at all during all the song. If this is true you can benefit from filters (I love Tone2 BiFilter) and slicers (as IL SliceX) or tools as IL GrossBeat or Glitch. With those you could do enought alterations for keep the attention.
I absoluty love the hats and the small breakdowns (with a nice hp filter on the base beat). However the synth with delay that I hear through the most of the song it a little boring, maybe it need more life. I like it sound.
Cheers!
I think the same, I don’t use it because it shares the zoom with main arrangement. I’d like it was as the not-embbeded midi/event editor.

It’s kinda sad to see that some of these wanteed features is 3 years old 🙄
Markus, don’t get angry, but that sentence doesn’t help at all… please be constructive, it’s more healthy for everyone, including yourself.
About docking GUIs, I’ve read about it very quickly… but don’t you think that it would be almost imposible? Each GUI has different size, if you join IL Delay 2, with Synth1 it would be weird! Live can do it because all their plugins are native…
Did I understand it right? Am I right?
edit: try to dock Gladiator 2, you will need a cinema screen 😛
It would be nice also dump those ugly Windows titlebar from plugins or children windows, and leave a simple podium title bar, with the same colour that background. It would give a good consistent feeling.
