ZynewaveKeymasterwhen I click on the power button a strange (and obnoxious) noise builds from 0 to 100% Db coming from the Record Track. Fortunately, I had my headphones wrapped around my neck the first time this happened! If I delete that track then everything works great! Am I doing something wrong?
It sounds like a speaker->microphone feedback problem, although it’s strange this should happen if you are only using headphones. The audio track you delete has an audio inptut mapped. You can bypass the input with the x button.
ZynewaveKeymasterNo. Multiple track selection is on the future plan.
ZynewaveKeymastercan you add an option to make timeline font bigger?
I’ll try with a larger font for the clock times IF the timeline region height is increased slightly. I chose the small font to make it fit the current default. I’ll probably increase the default ruler height a couple of pixels to make the bigger font default.
ZynewaveKeymasterHi,
a search option would have been nice
There is a search link at the top of the page.
It would be nice to know if Podium will work on my new computer (when it gets out of the repair shop!). I have a Dell E520 with Pentium D Processors (dual) and running Vista OS. I also have a 24 inch wide screen and a 19 inch monitor. Can Podium handle all this?
I have not personally tried Podium on Vista yet, so I cannot make any guarentees. I know that one user has tried Podium on Vista 32-bit Premium with success. Podium supports multiple monitors. Open a new browser window (Ctrl+W) and drag it to the second screen. The two browser windows can be synced so that project navigation in one window is followed in the other. Each window stores the last used editor profile, so one window can show a timeline editor while the other shows a mixer editor.
ZynewaveKeymasterVST has a setSpeakerArrangement function that a host can use to test various surround configurations that the plugin may support. The host has to “try” to set a speaker arrangement in the plugin to learn if the plugin supports it. So it’s not an optimal method for enumerating how many channel-configurations a plugin supports.
In the latest VST 2.4 there were a lot of old functionality that was declared “deprecated”. I’m waiting for VST3 to see if Steinberg comes up with an alternative to setSpeakerArrangement.
ZynewaveKeymasterYes, right-click the W5 folder/mapping in the start page device list. Select “new multichannel insert mapping” to combine all the individual stereo pairs to one 6 in/6 out mapping. Select “new insert mapping” if you just want a stereo mapping. Check the properties for the new mappings, to make sure the input/output configurations are correct.
It should be possible to make Podium import surround plugins properly, but I’m waiting for Steinberg to release the VST3 spec before looking into this.
ZynewaveKeymasterClick the track header title, and drag. Note that horizontal drag will change the group level when you drop the track.
ZynewaveKeymasterI can no longer find a note velocity editor attatched to the bottom half of the piano roll, have you changed anything or could it be something I have done?
I haven’t changed anything that affects this. If there is no bar at bottom that you can drag up to reveal the velocity region, then it’s likely you have accidentally removed this from the profile. If you are not sure about how to edit the profiles, then use the “Load default setup” in the setup menu.
ZynewaveKeymasterI didn’t put in an option to hide it. I’ll add that for the next release.
ZynewaveKeymasterIt might become handy if the faders, especially the one for panning, could be reset to their initial value (or to their last position, like it works with undo) by double-clicking them
In case you don’t know; Ctrl+Clicking a dial will reset it to the default value.

ZynewaveKeymasterThis content is restricted to Podium license owners.
ZynewaveKeymasterI plan to add a menu button to the inspector parameter panel with commands for creating individual or a complete set of default MIDI parameters. This menu will also have MIDI learn etc.

Why not to use DIRAC LE for begining? It is free as far as I can see.
Hi,
I think DIRAC LE is too limited. There was some discussion about time-stretching in this topic:

ZynewaveKeymaster- Mixer improvements, including optional gain faders.
