More flexibility will help Podium appeal to more users.
Yes, but just piling all sorts of options onto the already quite large edit menu is not appealing to me. I’m worried about UI clutter. Even though it’s just a submenu with 4 options, it’s presence would probably annoy 99% or so of the Podium users that never would need advanced locking options.
Bundle? Is this for stacking events on the same lane or something? Anyway I will check it out
I called it event bundle instead of event group, because the word group is so often used in connection with tracks. You can bundle any type of events, also across tracks. Note and point events can also be bundled. It’s a nice way to lock together a set of associated evens, so that you can just click one of the events and start dragging to move the entire bundle.
Choosing the Lock definitions option provides access to 4 global user defined lock options…
1. Disable Moving
2. Disable volume changes
3. Disable Fade in / Fade out
4. Disable length changes
😯 That seems excessively overkill to me. I would think it would be sufficient to lock all the above mentioned actions with a single lock option in Podium. This reduces the UI complexity and the user won’t have to consider what kind of lock is in effect or is needed.
Anyone else have a need for more advanced lock options?
I think acousmod has suggested this some time ago.
What edit actions should be locked? Is it only mouse move/resizing?
Are all the sound files in a single folder?
If possible, send me the old project file (saved before the folder move).
I took it a step further and added an option to apply the track color to the lane (opacity 0-100, 0 will disable the coloring). This will also color the focus track with the select color, plus it looks neat with the colored track groups having their lanes colored as well.
You cannot select multiple tracks. It’s on the todo list.
Thanks for the link Miquel. I have not examined MPEX, but I did check out DIRAC, which I believe is another prosoniq related product:

This page lists the licensing prices. A one-time fee is 9870 EUR. Not far from the prices listed by some of the other companies I have contacted. I’ll need to sell a couple of hundred Podium licenses before I can cover those expenses 😯
Some hosts have this, it is a very simple but useful feature.
Which ones? Please post links to screenshots if possible.

The “E” plugin editor buttons are now always shown. If monitoring is not activated then pressing the E button will automatically activate monitoring.
Hm, but it’s not in the preset panel.. 🙄 is that just coincidence?
Oops, I missed that one. It is now always shown in the preset panel header as well.
11 minutes from bug-report to bug-fix. A personal best for me 😉
