Good for you!
Keep posting and sharing experiences, you never know to how many people or in what ways you might be helpful to them.
And yes, Podium is well worh getting you first post! 😉
No worries, I appreciate the intention! 🙂
Frits was very helpful, it all works nicely now…
Frits, thank you so much!
It works, perfectly, MIDI+audio on the same track, as well as the bounce for the respective individual tracks.
You’re great! Thanks again!

I can’t speak for the entire world, but as far as I am aware of amateur musicians in my country, they tend to get “pro” DAW via warez sites to have as good sound as possible…
…there is almost no information about these softs on czech forums. It is a bit sad not many people are interested in cheaper/freeware solutions rather than warez.
True. The same in Romania. And I do agree with you.
Yeah, I even forgot I have actually tried this before! ;):) Age I guess. He he.
Anyway, I’d still like to know how to configure Hypersonic in such a way that audio and MIDI are on the same track.
One of the issues I have withPodium is that I can not select multiple tracks to rec arm them, or to mute, or to minimize and so on. So, having less tracks would be helpful. Having MIDI and audio in the same one even more so.
Can give me a clue?
Welcome aboard! 😉
You’ll so love the simplicity and ease with Podium – just do not give up if it does not feel totally comfortable immediately. It is actually a great great program! Enjoy!
I have to say I really like Podium! 😉
By enableing realtime record bouncing on the output track, then arm bounce recording, then arm recording on the track, then recording, then stop record then press B on the track, there it is! The audio wave of the rendered output.
So, if someone else wondered the same as me, I hope this is helpful. It sure made me happy again! Probably was silly not realizing this in the first place, but actually I didn’t use Hypersonic before as a multitimbral, so didn’t really have to try all this procedure. Anyway, nice nice!
Cheers,
Adi

… There just aren’t that many free DAWs around that aren’t crippled in some significant way.
Actually…
I don’t think there is any, except for Podium. To me, living without souround rewire and one proc is perfectly possible.
I think Podium Free REALLY is THE free DAW.
So it should be!
Good for them!
Well Jiri, I apreciate your link, but it only took me nowhere. I mean no where I would have liked to get….
I will try some more, but if I won’t get these, I fine – have more than I actually really use.
Thanks guys!
That ^^^.
Do you have a link that you found to be working? Thanks,
Adi
Hi Tele,
I might got it wrong, but I thought that link will provide the access to the actual synths you described.
It only gives me the .pdf of Beat Magazine – which of course is nice.
Is there another step to take, or that was all that is?
Thanks,
Adi
Thanks, indeed a good reading.
I’ve red it before and found it useful.
Joe and Graham seem to be friends and they put together interesting materials for helping people achieve great results within the context of a small home studio. See http://www.duelingmixes.com/
I like Graham’s http://therecordingrevolution.com/category/5-minutes-to-a-better-mix/ too, it’s worth spending that time to get tricks and tips from professional mixers. He also has this little book called “The no 1 rule in home recording” which actually is quite inspiring and I do identify with many things he writes in there.
Yes, good points.
I did not intend at all a poll situation, but rather issues to think about… I for one would be very much in favour of Podium getting well known and becoming big(ger). Why? Two reasons, both genuine and honest:
1. Because I believe Frits, as a developer, would deserve to get a better recognition of his work and be rewarded accordingly, and because Podium is just so good and lovely to work with (subjectively, I suppose).
2. Because that will impose a more committed and visible policy of adding new and necessary features, updates that fixes. And I think Podium could have a very very strong position among the under 100$ DAWs, if it was the case.
One could ask why did not I licenced my Podium if I so much wanted to help the cause. Simply because I did not find with it THE one, or two features that I need and are essential in my oppinion. You see, I don’t want to have to use two DAWs to get my music work done. It’s almost like a sacrilege to me, especially since there are other DAWs that do offer those basic features.
In the same time, I feel at home most of the times with how Podium works and I want so badly to only use this one DAW that it makes me itchy! 😉 That’s why I’d push Frits to add some things in if I could – but obviously that is silly thinking. I am honest though.
