Are you saying you would prefer that I changed the current behaviour to snap to grid space instead of grid line?

I’m saying that I’m neutral, I like both systems.

edit: it could be implemented as an option

I would like to hear other users opinion on this. If the majority of users think the snapping to grid line instead of snapping to grid space is weird, then I don’t mind changing the snap behaviour.

Tons of another host snap to grid line. Some years ago I always asked myself why this behavior, then I get comfortable left clicking in the first half of the note.

I don’t mind at all that you do that Podium snap to grid space, I like it even

Yes, do it in the device panel, just drag’n’drop

Hey Conquistator, about unwanted notes, you can delete them leaving 6-7 (or any number) rows if you want in the devices library. I think that it needs be more easy althought without use the devices library.

    EDIT: Look at this picture

    Frits,

I just emailed you a pod file where Gladiator 2 responds to program changes. Try it!

    Best regards

Even though it works in Reaper and not in Podium, does not necessarily mean it is a Podium bug. Reaper most likely implements its plugin bypassing using a different sequence of VST calls than Podium, which can make Sylenth1 respond differently. If you see MIDI notes played by Podium animated on the Sylenth1 editor keyboard, then it to me seems the muting problem is within the plugin. Have you tried contacting the Sylenth1 developer about this problem?

Ok, I understand. And yes, I did the 30th of January

    But no answer yet…

I tried the Gladiator2 demo, but that doesn’t seem to report program changes to Podium at all. Possibly a limitation of the demo. Did I understand you correctly, that you say that G2 “sometimes” changes the preset assigned on the track in Podium when you change preset within the G2 editor?

I’ve contacted tone2 about an exchange of NFR licenses.

Yes you understood correctly. In fact I remember a hilarious behavior of Podium when I was trying to understand the bug. I did a default project (4 tracks), and only the Inspector’s preset menu from the Gladiator 2 instance that I have in track 2 responded to program changes… it was really weird, and funny. I opened a closed several times the plugins until none of them send the message to inspector. Pretty weird. I also contacted with Markus from Tone2, and this was his answer:

    2) The host saves only the current used preset for preformance reasons. If you want to save the complete bank you must use ‘save all’ and store them in a glb file (gladiator bank).

    I think he didn’t understand me…

    Thanks you!

It works nice here. Thx Frits!

I thinking in other PR features and improvements, that maybe could inspire you:

    – I think that right mouse button is now obsolete. You can do the 99% of operations with pencil tool and keyboard shortcuts [Ctrl/Alt/Shift combinations]. You could do a customization of right mouse button also 🙂 (I’d use it for delete notes)

    – Keyboard restrictions. I suggested this before. Some rows (notes) in piano roll could be “disabled”, then if you move/add a note in those disabled rows it would move to the upper enabled note. That allow move bundled notes and chords, or full melodies even, in the same scale you’re using.

    – Custom grid. THis was suggested before also. It allows you work with custom quantization.

    – A simplified way for work with drums (adding/deleting/moving drums row in the same drum editor)

However I’m very very very happy with this new version 🙂 congrats!
