I just mean graphics. Yes, that samplitude mixer is little bit incoherent, but something like that in visual way, you know. Less things, but more professional look. Or something 8)
Ok, i have opened project where i accidentaly delet my midi in things. Now i cant get my keyboard to workin 🙁 i’ve had tryed to add those generic gs gm etc instruments, no luck, nothing. How i can get my midi to working without making new project? Thanks, and sry for being such a idiot 😮
Dear Frits (and others)
I’m sorry that i have being so rude and ornery. I promise to behave better in future. 😳 😥
Back to topic, i hope we going to see something like this in podium some day (even the signal flow is down to up) 😀
That looks very professional. Pure eyecandy. Simply love it! :clown:

That’s such a yesteryear attitude. Come on already, it’s 2009! Time to update…
Actually, this one is good one! 😀 😆
I’m rude, and my attitude is from ass 8)
When you talk nicely, you wont be notice. I have seen that many times. Everywhere, inclueded this forum. Like i said before, Frits doesnt answer anything. To speak rude doesnt mean i’m rude person. It is just the way to start discussion. Nothing else. 🙂
Since this is my thread, i take the freedom post most needed fixes.
1. Current inspector fx’s thing. I still think that slot system with d&d support would be best solution. By d&d fx’s it would be fast & easy and you can call it modern feature too. (ye we live in 2009)
2. Current mixer and how it handle plugins. Fx disorder. However, Frits has told he remake mixer after current update. Nice! At least i want to get rid of thos mixer up and down scroll cases.
3. Help us get our ideas fast out in podium and allow note strech on selection tool. PLEASE! One of the smalest request what is ever made. This little thing would make many your customers happy.
4. Swing. Man, every musician needs swings. I dont want to make music which sound 100% made on computer. Ableton or Studio one has good swing system. Take some inspiration there.
5. I would call another modern feature here. Easy sidechain. Sidechain which take maxium 10 seconds to set up. Ableton has most easiest / fastest sidechain. Take inspiration there.
6. Totally new graphics. More modern. Softer edges. Not so blocky, you know. Studio one and ableton have good graphics.
7. Relize that you can’t do all the things alone. You will need help. Find some one to make inbuild fx’s for podium. Or ask if you can add some freebies with Podium. Like Gol did with FL Studio. If i remember right those first fx’s are made by smartelectronix(?)
8. Remember you run business here. If your customers want something, you do it. Well, of course not everything but when preponderance wants same thing..
9. Forget what you like and what you don’t like it. Between betas we can read something like this “i change my mind, i do it this and this”. “i change my mind again blaa blaa”..
What about users opinions? They use your product. You just develop it. Does it matter if you don’t like “fx slots thing”, when your customers do like it and they are happy? You know what happy customers means.
10. Take this criticism in positive way. We all want to help you. Thats why we keep supporting you.
In the end;
My heart bleeding when i see podium waste his own potential
ps. sry for my bad english 😳
PEACE!

I want the same that you, easy, fast and inmediate.
Say it to Frits, oh wait, he doesn’t listen you. (note sarcasm)
Frits shouldnt underestimate Midi and midi tools in generally. We live year 2009. There is a lot people who makes music using only software, inclueded me. Then midi and midi tools is most important things.
I wish FL Studio with Podium sound engine, automation system and playlist + playlist scroll system on mousewheel. That would be killer host. Best ever, easily.
Maybe some day.. You never know.
Well, english an’t my native language so sometimes it’s kinda hard to say what you really want to say. I do respect Frits. I have told that couple times before. I admire his passion to Podium. I always respect hard working people. Yesterday i was wake up at 5 am, and then Frits post another beta. That’s i call real passion.
I am not best of the best in business, but i do know what musician like. Like i told before, podium is more to audio enginer than musician. Just cause working is slow. When i want to get ideas out fast, i just open FL Studio. Simply cause it is most easiest host and it has best pianoroll.
I have tried couple times to get ideas out fast on podium without success. I personally need all in one pianoroll tool, or atleast draw, erase, select in one tool. In podium you have to switch those tools or use _another_ shortcut to strech notes or select them and so on.. it is just a little thing, but it’s affect so negative on my creative that i hate podium on it.
I have tried to quit FL Studio now over year. I have always return to FL Studio. Even i hate how it sounds (engine). This is just cause it is EASY AND FAST. That is what musician needs and wants.
And yes, i am openminded. I respect Frits. I can wait, there is no problem at all. Even if podium never going to fit on my needs, it’s still okay, and i still going to support frits by bying license, update it and keep donate money. There is no doubt about that.
See my trade offer on vip lounge?
Ye no brain deal, buy it!
Just say it. Say it straight. I dont except anything.
Frits have chosen his own way, he should know the risks.
Even when some wants to tell him where the problems is, he doesn’t listen you. Not me, not other users. Either he doesn’t answer nothing, or he hide behind pricetag.
This current update aka FX thing is in critical point imo. Couple users, inclueded me wants somekinda slot system with drag and drop support. This is where Frits need to decide what he wants. Old system you keep half of old customers happy, new system (fx’s slots+d&d support) would offer more easy to figure out -> more easy to use -> happy user/customer. Happy customer -> spread word -> more customers -> Frits get more money -> everyone wins.
About Hierarchic
Logical row is up to down. This Podium thing down to up, makes podium unique. To be unique isn’t bad thing. But like i said, in the end this is BUSINESS for Frits.
All i’m asking is Frits to decide what he rly wants.
In my opinion, Frits wants something what he doesnt even know. He want changes, but fear to do them. At least those radical ones.
Changes happen when you change your concept. Chainging consept doesnt happening by accepting ideas all the time from fanboys.
You can hate me as much you want. This is my opinion, and i stay behind it. Some may think that i am envy or resentful.. NO! I’m doing this only to help Frits. Yes help. You read right.
There is so many good alternative host available that podium needs changes if it wants to hit on market. Reaper cost now 60$ and it is comparable to cubase and logic. FL Studio is cheap too. It has all features we would never needed. And dont forget all freebies.
In the end;
Be a realistic. Think what you want and what you have offer to get it.

Another button bites the dust. The select and menu buttons are now combined into one. Clicking the button will select the track. Clicking the button when the track is selected will open the menu.
The “add effect” selector is now a simple “+” button. It can be hidden with the “show new effect buttons” option in the inspector options menu.
Clicking a selector with a send assigned will toggle the display of send controls.
Still to do:
Right-click on buttons.
Drag-reordering.
And I’m still thinking of ways to get rid of the record buttons.
Man, get some sleep 🙁 (same to me) 😆
How about adding that mine “M” button for midi in? Is it too complicate to do? That would clear things out alot.
Edit: How about this? Can we have this? I’ve found this useful
In overal, you should do something about those sends. They are “ugly” and take way too much space. Or am i only one again who think so?
Maybe seperate they from fx’s? Some kinda line or something.
I like this new + button thing. Good work.
okay, can someone make me sidechain template? Please? Thanks.

How about coding just simple compressor / duck / gate fx? It doesnt have to be good. Just that good so we can use it for sidechain.
How long it will take to code something like this? Simple duck fx? Thanks for your time.
Based on my experience with zPEQ, zReverb and zPitch, I estimate that it will take me at least a month to make a zComp. I tend to be thorough when I start on a new plugin. At present time my time is better spent on Podium, but I’m looking forward to when I get time to expand on the zPlugins suite.
No, i mean SIMPLE. Very simple. We can use third part compressors. But i’m asking very very simple ducking fx. Something what you can code like in couple days or one week. Or then you may add support to some free compressors. Or something.. Like i said, it doesnt have to be good.
I really want to change Podium to my main DAW:n. But as an electornic music producer, lack of this kinda feature is deal breaker for me (and many others)..
Anyway, thanks.
