Yep, do the mixer first. Beta-version can be used anyways.

How about if I add “Export Sound Event To Sound File…” to the sound editor file menu. This will do an export limited to the range of the clicked event.

    Sounds great! πŸ™‚

    Yes, cool 8) .

The punch range render was meant as a time-saver. In case you changed just a few bars in a long track, you could redo the bounce within that range, and still keep the bounced audio of the previous full render.

That is actually very cool. I like it to stay that way.

Thanks for the answer, although is is not the one that i was hoping for. πŸ˜‰

Disabling the plugins should be enough, instead of removing them entirely.

Do you mean renaming an audio file on a bounced track? Not the track itself?

Right click on the event and choose Sound Event Properties. Type in a new name, does that help? :-k

That’s what i mean. Is it that simple? Oh man, i must have missed that part in the manual. Gonna try it right now. 😳

Edit: I’ve figured it out: I had “hide bounce track” activated, therefor i couldn’t see or name the file. In the editor you can “save sound as”. That was what i was looking for.

Thanks for the help, Conquistador =D> .

Is there no one else that finds this behaviour annoying? Also, why is the bounced(rendered) track saved after you close the project? Why can’t it be saved under a self-chosen name while working on the project? Or am i missing something?

Well, obviously, it’s because if you want to edit one and have the changes reflected in them all (say you made a drum clip, and then decided you needed a different rhythm but had already copied them all across your track), you can do that.

Can you imagine changing your mind, and editing every single one, along with volume and panning, to reflect the exact same changes? Or just editing one, and having all the phantoms do it at the same time, not needing to be edited?

If you never, and I mean NEVER EVER edit afterwards, then you won’t need such a feature, but there’s still no difference. But if you edit after, I’d be willing to bet you will eventually run into the need for this (if not a while later, then rather soon).

    edit:

Wait, I’m going to assume you mean like a clip or whatever you call it, right? Not an ENTIRE sequence, surely?

Yes, i mean a clip. Ah, so the changes apply to all the other phantom tracks! That’s cool, thanks!

How can you change soundcard/drivers within an arrangement? It seems that if i change “midi/audio interfaces” the in- and outputs within the arrangement do not change. How can i do that?

I assume you want to select another ASIO driver in the interfaces dialog, and use that instead with your existing project. That will work, except that the channel names of the new driver will not be updated in your audio input/output mappings. But you should still be able to play the arrangement using the new ASIO driver.

If you want the audio mapping names to match the new driver, then you should create a new project using the new ASIO driver, save that as a template, open your old project, and then use the “project templates/load device setup” submenu to replace your device setup with the template you saved.

I feared something like this. Could this be altered in future versions?

I must say that the way Fritz described it isnΒ΄t hard to do. IΒ΄ve tried it several times now and it is pretty simple and fast, once you have the templates made. You have to watch out to also change the audio/drivers settings but that is quickly done.

Sorry Melody Man it is a secret. πŸ˜›

No seriously it is lovely no? 8) It is a Windows 7 wallpaper image. The one I am using is almost made for Podium as if to illustrate all the possibilities.

Where to get it and the rest of the Windows 7 Wallpaper images?

    That would be here. πŸ™‚

Or you could go straight here. Click on the images to find a selector (top right) that should allow you to download a resolution to suit your screen.

    Enjoy πŸ™‚

    Thanks man!

(Ofcourse) you were right. It turns out i had configured my Terratec wrongly all along. After some trial and error i have now found the right routing and mixersettings .

    Thanks a bunch!

No, still the same problem. Note that the syncing only messes up when plugins are on the mastertrack. If i remove the plugins on the master everything works fine.

I have routed output 1 and 2 of my interface to the analog inputs on the V-verb and the analog-outs of the V-verb are connected to analog input 1 and 2. The optical out on my interface is connected to the optical in on the V-verb and the optical out of the V-verb is connected to the optical in on my interface (a Terratec Phase x24 Firewire). The Terratec is clocked externally to the V-verb and the output chosen on the mastertrack is now 3 and 4, which are the outputs my monitors are connected to.

Edit: I have discovered this does only happen with certain plugins.

Messy: Nebula, Voxengo Polysquasher, Wavearts Trackplug 5
    Everything ok: Voxengo’s Marquis, delamancha’s bathtub, Voxengo’s Soniformer2.

    Strange…
