HILLARIOUS
🙄
would you care to proof this theory? why give advice when you don’t know the basics?
if you’re looking for a “guitar only” interface you could have a look at the Behringer stuff :
http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-UCG102-Guitar-to-USB-Interface/dp/B000PAPO9W
or IKM Stealth plug :
http://ikmultimedia.com/stealthplug/features/
… they sport dedicated ASIO drivers and should you get there
if you get the PreSonus box you would face same latency on either input btw…
pretty smooth is something different than fully capable, isn’t it …
you’re right, most of the features are there but some ( even basic ones ) are still missing – at least in my book – but there are other issues that stopped my from relying on Podium …

…No one can tell me that Podium, as it is right now, isn’t fully capable of producing a top-10, Grammy-winning album…
maybe true for music NOT related to MIDI but definitely NOT TRUE for music heavily depending on MIDI programming …

… use of an M-Audio 2496. Period. This is feed thru your card, No? And . . .
I’ve explained all the rest above.
…
M-Audio 2496 IS the soundcard …
i really like your patronizing wording 😉
type of soundcard was mentioned on page one ( also which driver is in use ) …
the pc specs don’t change when launching a different host which was able to play back the test project, so i can’t see the point!
btw where’s The Telenators sig telling his/her specs?!?
[quote=”The Telenator”…My ears aren’t toast but my brain seems to be…[/quote]
if you say so …
if you blame a mediocre soundcard driver for the poor performance this would lead to poor performance in other hosts too, wouldn’t it?!?
so how come, my test succeded on other hosts ( same testing conditions so to speak )???
supposed other hosts don’t suffer from freezing using the same midi file played through the same vsti with the same preset using the same optimized daw and the same buffer settings now what could i improve in my computer set up ???
i’d vote for supporting midi fx and midi routing ( route the midi out of a plug in to the midi input of another plug in on a different track that is )
just to be precise : disrupt / crash is something different than make it useless – i claimed Podium to be of little use but i did not claim Podium to break my system which was implied by The Telenator – so i did not deny anything …
btw are you a relative to Kriminal or BONES ???
and where exactly did i claim Podium to alter / disrupt my system???
i rest my case…
edit : i complained about some issues ( sometimes with strong words ) but i did not claim Podium to alter / disrupt my system as you stated before …
and i stand my ground that i do not want to be a beta tester when the dev does not inlcude too much user community input!
i can’t recall accusing Podium to crash my AppData or the likes …

I just commented in another thread about not wishing to disrupt or significantly alter the overall setup of Podium, and this would apply to the menus to a large degree.
What I’ve been suggesting as Feature Requests tend to be more along the the lines of minor-yet-crucial add-on “goodies” and tweaks to streamline our workflow, keep our creativity as unfettered and spontaneous as possible, and remove or avoid clutter whenever possible. In my spare time I’ve been looking at the other DAWs, hoping to cull a few choice features, with the goal of adding these half dozen or so, the result being Podium in 2012 becomes beyond debate the hands-down finest system available.
changing an enumeration wouldn’t break a mind set imo but if you say so – btw with all due respect you sound patronizing to me in every thread you join…

The menu items are grouped and ordered in a logical manner. I’d prefer not to disrupt this order. What I can do is add underscore key shortcuts to the menus. You can already do this with the Quantize command by pressing Alt+E, followed by Q. This method won’t work with “Adjust Timing”, since the A key is assigned as shortcut to “Select All Events”. I’ll try to find another key shortcut for this command. ‘T’ is taken by “Delete Event”, so maybe ‘I’.
that would be nice – what ever fits your intentions best – underscore keys would be fine either!
thank you

Thanks michi_mak!
Looks like a useful macro tool to use with other applications as well.
