michi_makParticipantupdate : i found a thread about this from may 2010 where Frits said, not at the moment – i take it this is still not possible, is it?
michi_makParticipant😀
sure verybody got his / her own style
Podium should be THE tool for everybody 🙂
michi_makParticipantselecting events with cursor keys left / right , transposing events with cursor keys up / down , applying swing / humanisation with shortcuts …
ymmv
ps : yes i do love keyboard short cuts 😆
michi_makParticipantsorry to hijack, but this is why i prefer editing with keyboard shortcuts …

michi_makParticipantdid you also assign a “source” to your track?
fyi a “source” is the vsti synth you need to create sound – i assume you are recording midi only as you talk about notes showing up, don’t you?edit : just in case : http://www.zynewave.com/wiki/doku.php?id=guide:getting_started#setting_up_tracks
is a good starting point!
michi_makParticipantaccordo, i’m not sure if it’s a good idea to compare a sequencer with an industrial design application!!!
there are too different needs imo
i left MuLab ( which you mentioned ) and other hosts because of their mouse oriented workflow – at least i prefer working with keyboard short cuts as much as possible but ymmv
michi_makParticipantthe more i think about it the more i like the idea!!!
michi_makParticipantThanx to both of you =D>
michi_makParticipant@bacon : thanx for the instance explanation !! good hint with the additional track but it still does not work 100% the way i want to – while there is only one sequence used for triggering all the outputs i still can’t solo any of the tracks feeding the outputs … the track containing the sequence gets disabled too …
❓
michi_makParticipantthat is exactly what i want to do – when i use only one instance of this sequence ( say on the track with output 1 ) i can not solo the track with output 2 and so on…
or to use other words : how is one supposed to use vstis with multiple outputs ??
thanx for reading
michi_makParticipanti know i can copy the sequence to all the tracks and i know all the copied sequences are updated if i edit one of them but this is a very inconvenient way of working because you end up with loads of redundant sequences …
michi_makParticipantme too – starting ‘from scratch’ means NO tracks to me …
but this is subject to personal taste for sure!
michi_makParticipanti’m looking forward to 2.27!!
March 11, 2010 at 18:17 in reply to: how to use multiple midi interfaces at once for recording? #17673
michi_makParticipantthis is easy : get MidiOX to merge all inputs and route them via MidiYoke into Podium – works well and i can’t find recognizable latency…
