Next 😉 , if you’re interested in a top emulation of that 80’s sound, check out the SQ8L:

I am not sure at all about this, I had a similar problem which is resolved by changing the bit depth of the sample/loop you want to import. For example if I audition a 16bit sample it plays about twice as fast, however if I first export/save that sample/loop at 32bit, the tempo is corrected. I have not used Audacity, but I guess that it is capable of saving out audio at 32bit. I also set sample rate to 96khz, so both Podium and samples have equal bit depth and sample rate – (Podium is always set to 32bit float)
Before discovering Podium, I believed Ableton Live was the shiznit. I was wrong. IMO, Podium offers a much more robust and stable setup specifically for arranging songs, which with the low price is a deal maker. The MIDI sync problem in Ableton is a deal breaker, plus it is relatively expansive. Live shines as a realtime sketchpad and performance tool, and has a bunch of first class MIDI and audio effects, which is Podium’s current weakness. However I trust that Frits will bring the additional functionality bit by byte. Hang in and checkout the next demo, even better, buy it.
ZynAddSubFX is a real good sounding synth, it has huge capability and is somewhat complex, the interface is unfortunately quite quirky, nonetheless grab the VSTi version at:

NeoDavinci, if your question directed about MIDIbox: I built a MB64 variation with 40 knobs and 24 buttons for about $130 (includes case, LCD, knobs, PCBs, etc). Motorfaders for MB LC are about 22Euro each so 176euro for 8 faders. A complete BCF2000 can be had for close to that. Some of the MIDIbox folk with BCF2000 have added ‘missing’ features such the LCD screen using only the core part of the MBLC project. Building a MIDIbox project is rarely about saving money, it is imo mostly about the thrill of making and finishing a functional thing and finally putting it to use. It as actually cheaper to buy rather than DIY for general controllers and such, however there are particular solutions to individual hardwire needs best found in diy. 😉
Good News!
I recently finished building a variation of the open source MIDIbox 64 (ucapps.de), which is a DIY box with a bunch of knobs and buttons, an have a keyboard with more knobs and sliders, (CME-UF5) all of which can still be very useful when mappable to Podium’s knobs n sliders, even without mackie control. I was considering building the MIDIbox LC (LogicControl) which also provides full mackie emulation, but the BCF2000 seems much better value as motorfaders are expensive in small quantities.
Thank you! 😀

youwashock maximizer – excellent!

When setting up multiple VST instruments to be triggered simultaneously using a single MIDI INPUT interface/keyboard (AXIOM/CME) I assign/drag a specific different ‘sub’ input (01, 02, 03, …etc) to each VSTi. Then by double clicking on that ’01’ or whatever ‘sub’ MIDI INPUT number is assigned (in the device list) , call up a comprehensive MIDI input Properties panel where in the ‘MIDI input configuration’ section, I enable ‘Filter input on single channel’ and then set each ‘sub’ (01, 02,..) channels to share the same channel number, usually ’01’. Each ‘sub’ MIDI input can be assigned to any of 16 channels.
There are probably different ways to approach this since Podium is a contortionist as far as flexibility is concerned.javascript:emoticon(‘8)’)
Cool
