In the interest of understanding you…
In other programs one could just highlight that area recorded at the 24th measure and hit delete. Podium does not allow for this?
in most other programs you would highlight the new file at the 24th measure and hit the delete key. in podium you cannot as the track is now connected with the first 4 measures. this seems to be a flaw in the record set up or my use of it?
also, Podium is the only software i have ever worked with where when you hit record on any track, from any point, the entire track is record enabled instead of the point where the cursor starts. i find it a bit difficult, particularly if you are putting multiple recordings at different points on the same track. however, maybe i am unaware of how to change this?

“hopefully in 1.99” 🙂
It is always best to never make hard promises but I think I would rather have 1.99 delayed as long as necessary to address the playback / audio engine crash issues. If 1.99 is released without those fixes it would be at least another 4 – 8 weeks for a 2.00 fix. That would be a very long and highly unusual time frame for a fix, especially based on past responses to fixes and also considering your existing time constraints with Nucleum already and a likely 2nd Sythmaker plug (drum sampler) to follow that.
I appreciate you might want to get 1.99 out soon but getting it out properly is also no doubt a very high priority for you. It certainly is for me. Please as usual take as long as you need to address any fixes. Reliability is one of Podiums major key selling points and IMO must be preserved as much as possible.
i believe it is critical not to release with this problem. honestly, waiting another 8 weeks for the correction seems bad.
i know it is probably time consuming but why not correct significant problems right away……..not waiting for another release?
damn uncle age!!! nice call on the influences!
thanks for the kind words. i look forward to hearing a few of yours.
well, i have no shortage of finished tunes. in most forums the link is attcahed to my signature.
you can check a few out and see if you still want a collaborator. i think for a home hobbyist my stuff is o.k. some attempta i have had at collab did not work as well as i would have hoped becasue of such a different musical taste. if you check out any tunes you can comfortably say, “no thanks!”
here is only a small few……….
i agree. i can tell you that for awhile, maybe three or four months i regularly posted my music and commented on others music in two forums. but…………it was just too silent so i stopped, both posting and listening. makes no sense, i know………
maybe we need a true music forum. no politics, gear, etc. just music postings, collaborations, comments, and general music discussion.
all these musicians becoming engineers might not be good!!
nevermind…………………i see my mistake!

Back to the OP, I like the Reaper plugs. However, I don’t use them outside of Reaper. Why not? I don’t have a need. Like a lot of users I have a decent arsenal of plugs. I use them across the board in all my DAWs.
me too! i am used to the plugs i chose and on the few occassions i have tried native or free plugs i am dissapointed. however, i do realize that there are probably good plugs i am missing.
i see lots of people expressing that reacomp is as good as any…………
i have had reaper for just over a year. and i agree, the new themes make it nice. it is the fastest growing software i have ever seen. these two guys get out updates at a rate that does not seem possible and becasue of that, the program is very, very feature rich!!
i actually do not use it much cause i would rather support podium, who’s design is more to my liking. but, reaper has so much more to offer one day i may be forced to use it.
yeah, there must be 30 quality plugs now included. i am not real familiar with them but over at the forum folks sure talk about them like they are the very best.
podianer, i’ll be curious what you think, especially since you are a podium user (i think?).
thanks, for $99 i might get it.
thanks man, that is a helluva deal!
it sure looks nice Frits!
Welcome!

Sam, I assume you know that you just need to disable the “activate power when opening arrangement editor” option in the preferences dialog, and then Podium behaves as in previous versions.
Sorry Frits, had I known I wouldn’t have bothered with the post. Sorry.
yeah, i don’t know if I am the average or kool is? I do not start Podium and record the moment after start up. I may have a variety of things I do before I start the engine and record.
FWIW the two other apps I have with off/on buttons ….open off. Of course I don’t use them but for examples sake……
