Thanks for the reply, Frits.
Yep, multiple stereo tracks into the rear channels reverb is what I was trying to do, lacking a decent 5.1 reverb. Good to hear it works that way 🙂 .

Unbelievable (at least for a non-programmer)!
FIY:
I’ve just started a new surround (only) project and there it is:
Freedom in its fill glory and fully functional.
Yep: fate wants me to do surround projects 🙂
Edit: Some synced delay effects cause trouble, though (“Plugin performed an illegal action…”). Nevermind.
OK, seems like that… Just tried it out on my old computer (XP 32bit) and
Podium also doesn’t recognize freedom… I must have forgotten that it never
worked 😕
Anyway: Thanks, Frits!
(I know there are better ways to spend a Sunday evening 😉 )
OK… installed the jbridge demo with the following results:
Podium crashes when I’m doing the normal “import from folder” scan, message from jbridge:
mainProc(HostCallback) error (…)
When I try to not load any plugins and only try to import Freedom
I get the same result as before (“Could not open…”)
I simply get
“Could not open plugin ‘Freedom.dll’.
BTW: Same problem with 32-Bit Podium.
Ah, OK. Now that I know what I have to do I’m fine with that.
(And you just reminded me of my todo list, which seems to become longer every day… 🙄 )
@Frits:
Is the rendered audio ok up to the point where it cuts off?
It is.
And I’m not using any demo versions and the problem seems only to occur in this arrangement.
The bounced wave file has the correct length in the arrangement, the exported file is cut.
BUT: When I move the bounced master to a new track it is seperated into three files. I assume this is due to the “split” function I used on several/all tracks in order to lenghten the song a bit 😉 .
I now bundled all events and bounced again and the output file is OK! :D/
So… thanks to you. However, I still don’t get why this problem occured in the first place.
Thank you. I really would appreciate such a feature.
For the time being:
poor messy me 😉
Just renewed my upgrade period and there it is: kwon-tie-zay-shon :D/
Been waiting for that one and it turns out to be even… well, just great!
Thanks! Also for the other sophisticated stuff you put in 2.27!
(yep, I’m throwing a party right now)

Heh, quite a shock to see how the Podium UI looked not that long ago.
It’s called improvement 🙂
OK… my “problem”: this method only seems to work if there is a third track so
I can drop the track I want to become a child track onto a track
which is below the group track.
Sorry for waisting everybody’s time on that. (Funny: I tend to understand
the more complicated stuff a lot quicker… 😕 )
Sven
Copy that!
(Choosing the controller manually somehow… would be great)
The Zoom’s still not detected. Instead: moving the faders while exiting
Podium resulted in a nice blue screen 🙁 I guess the Zoom’s implementation of the
Mackie Control protocol is somewhat faulty. Don’t know.
Checked the manual already. Unfortunately there is no way to edit
anything regarding the MCU abilities of this thing.
However, I don’t want you to waste your time on this issue. (Keep developing this swing
quantize feature 😉 ) Maybe one day one can select the control surface which
is used manually or force detect it. The Zoom’s advice for running the R16 in different DAWs
always states that you have to select/install an MCU by hand. Still: if you come up with any
ideas they will be highly appreciated.
Sven
BTW: the Zoom does not have any “modes” like the MCU, I think.
>enable both the MIDI input and output device for the Zoom in the interfaces dialog.”
check

Hmm… I’m not sure If I got this right. Do you mean turning the Zoom on while I’m in an arrangement?
The MIDI indicator is lit green when I move the faders… but I can’t
find a “Follow control surface” menu item…
Still doesn’t work 🙁
Ah! Yep, that does it 🙂 !
Thanks. I really appreciate your quick and helpful replies. They really
help me to get over those absolute beginner problems.
