😕 i find that really surprising actually…
how far away are you from sending Podium to music mags for review (I know you planned on updating the Guide first)? I reckon once magazine publicity starts to work things will really start to happen
PS very happy user here!
thanks Frits! 8)
Hi Podianer
If you still need to stream in realtime…
I use energyXT inside Podium to do the kind of streaming you need… I have energyXT inserted as an instrument, then inside energyXT I have the plugins. energyXT isn’t free however, but you will find it useful
Hi Frits
The crash was occuring in energyXT 1.3.5, whenever I activated a project. I tried it with the eXT 1.4 beta, and the crash doesn’t occur any more. They must have fixed up some bug in eXT, so this thread is closed. Thanks for looking into it
you may also find this useful on some material:

X-CITA
Analog style exciter for mastering purposes,
inspired on the BBE Maximizer models. Its warm sound and simplicity of using makes this exciter very suitable to add some subtle brightness in the high frequencies, and also make the lows more dense. Apart from the mastering stage, you’ll find that it can also make a good work on individual tracks.
have fun! try all these “warming” plugins on your other synths as well to see what they can do 8)

the V2 synth is because its a realy good synth you can make just about anything with it, the only thing is it lacks warmth, do you know of any plugins that can add warmth to cold or digital sounding synths.
try these free plugins to add warmth to V2:
http://www.camelaudio.com/camelphatfree.php Use a touch of distortion and a touch of compression to warm things up, play round with the Master Mix slider as well
http://www.voxengo.com/product/tubeamp/ Turn up the drive knob a little and the Tube knob more to get impart some tasty “tube amp” simulation on V2
And one more which I’ve heard some people have found useful:
http://www.uv.es/%7Eruizcan/sintes/baxxpander_v12.zip
BAXXPANDER
Vintage style saturation/bass expander unit,
presented as VST effect. We think this plugin is specially good to add warmth and saturation to drums
and basses, and with vocal tracks that need a little punch. It uses very little CPU, and includes 8 factory presets.
Hi Stu
Haven’t tried that one myself, but I can vouch for SuperPhaser, Drumatic and Retrodelay, they are cool little freebies
I’ll check it out some time 8)
Edit: Have you tried PolyIblit? (or Iblit)… polyIblit allows more voices at once. It’s seriously fat, a truly great VA…
call me weird, but I love the online bounce, for the “what you hear is what you get” factor. But I wouldn’t complain the say offline bouncing arrives 😉

Right-click on the track header where the impOSCar is assigned.
sorry, i should have been a bit clearer. you can also right click on the channels in the mixer, which for some reason I always seem to do
another useful tip: you can build up a “template project” by starting a new project and importing every single imposcar bank into the project browser
1) In the project browser menus choose “import plugin” and then navigate to imposcar.dll
2) Now in the project browser, you’ll see two objects… “GMedia Music – impOSCar” and “impOSCar insert”. Double click on the first one (“GMedia Music – impOSCar” ) to go into it
3) Now, double click on the “Programs” folder to go into it
4) Now from the project browser menu choose… File…. Import File…
5) in the popup window that appears, select “All files” from the “File Types” drop down menu
6) Navigate to an imposcar bank (.fxb) you want to load, and import it
7) Repeat for all other imposcar banks you have
8) Now save the project as “imposcar template” or something like that
Every time you want to use impOSCar in a new project, you can import the “imposcar template” project into your new project. You can then easily drag the imposcar mapping to a track, and when you select the imposcar track you’ll notice all your banks will be visible under the “Preset” tab on the left… nice! You can also edit your impOSCar template so the banks are arranged in folders but I’ll leave that for you to play around with 8)
So, it’s a nice way to be able to import impOSCar and have all the banks instantly accessible without reloading banks for every project
you can also import banks into the project brower, as detailed in the Podium guide
1) right click on the impOSCar track and choose “Create new bank” or whatever it says, as opposed to create new preset
2) Now, under the presets tab on the left, find the new bank preset you made, and right click on it and choose properties
3) In the properties window, choose Import Bank and find the bank you want to import, then click ok
4) Now double-click on the preset mapping to apply it to the track, and right click on the imposcar track again and choose “update library” which should give new presets for each of the presets in the bank
I hope you can wrok out what I’m talking about as I don’t have Podium in front of me so this is going by memory 😉

If Podium becomes a big commercial success, I may find myself unable to cope with the support questions. In that case I would be looking for help or some sort of cooperation, so that I can dedicate most of my time to development.
there’s a few loyal podium fans who will always provide support for other users if they can, like myself 🙂
check the sample rate of the audio files… if their sample rate is different than the sample rate your arrangement is set to (eg. 44100Hz) then they will play back at different speed
I’ve never tried it, but can you try adjusting the Sound Properties of the audio files so that the sample rate matches your arrangement’s sample rate? (I think there’s an option to change it)
