aah, ok thanks Frits.

This suggestion is something I have always liked in Ableton’s Live. Live has a small, context sensitive, help-box in the lower left-hand corner that you can collapse when not needed. However, if it showed up in a status bar instead that would be ok too.
Yes, I was going to say the same thing, so +1 to that.

Beta5:
Resizing a note event by dragging either the start or the end of the note will resize all notes in a multiple note selection. The resizing is done in realtime instead of on mouse release.
Thanks Frits – that’s one feature I’ve been waiting a while for 🙂

I’m guessing you ctrl+click the first note to start the drag. Ctrl+clicking will toggle selection of the clicked event. You need to first click the selection and then hold the control key when releasing.
Ah, yes you’re right. I can’t understand how I made such a simple mistake after the 5 years I’ve been using Podium – ah well, carry on – don’t mind me 🙂
Thanks as ever for the latest release Frits 😀
I have a minor graphical bug to report though. When playing a midi sequence with the midi editor window open, the last number in the timeline disappears when the play cursor passes over it. If the sequence is looping then the number reappears when the cursor returns to the beginning.

Do it 🙂
IMO is more usual tweak the gain meter that pan. I’d be happy if I can change the gain. You could hide or disable the pan for avoid confusion.
Agreed, +1, etc…

A built in sampler would be a nice touch. And if implemented well, could really add quite a bit of appeal to an already great app. My thoughts are along the lines of something like Simpler in Ableton’s Live.
Yeah, that would be nice, but I don’t envisage such a thing for quite some time. There are so many more important host related things to be implemented first I think…

I have just talked with George from DiscoDSP and they will look into it 8)
Cool 8) As I said, Discovery had always been rock solid in Podium prior to R3 so hopefully George will track down the problem.

Confirmed here too. It seems the current R3 version is a bit flaky (at least with Podium anyway) – It’s the first time I’ve used it in Podium since it’s been updated to R3 and it’s caused a couple of problems. On the first occasion the Discovery GUI kept popping up everytime I pressed the spacebar to start or stop playback and on another occasion it caused Podium to crash when using the mouse to adjust the cutoff knob while recording. Earlier versions of Discovery were always fine, but it has to be said that R3 seems ok in other hosts.

I would prefer rectangular sliders on the gain faders in the mixer…
Agreed – otherwise very nice 🙂

Just to add my preference in the faders debate. I’m not keen on the round ‘glass’ type, but I do like either the ‘solid’ round or ‘glass’ square options.
