Great lyric man!
Thanks for the album ๐
And great to know it was all done in Podium.
Just played it and it’s great! Love the soul vibes ๐
Yes, that the right approach. Alternatively you could boost the audio output on your analogue device as Podium records your last verse.
The track output level is a static slider. It defines the maximum value of the automated level event/clip.
You could also add a gain plugin to the track but that would still require an automation event/clip.

The world is moving fast towards touch-based input on tablet-size form factors, and I want to ensure that Podium will run on those systems as well. That will require a series of updatesโฆ
I can imagine hordes of people computing exclusively on touch tablets. Warehouses, board rooms, hospital wards will dispense with notebooks and clipboards and replace them with these devices. Hopefully, on a slow shift, a nurse might turn to their install of Podium to pass the time.

Those updates will take some time and unfortunately does not provide new features, but I find it important that Podium will be able to support all Windows 8 platforms (Intel/Arm) from the day Windows 8 launches.
That’s forward thinking, Frits.
In my case Podium has been smooth and worry free since v.2.42.

Every audio file I create is mono on my left channel
If you’re referring to exported audio or the bounce at the master track then double check that object’s properties.
This is pretty much a reiteration of what Frits suggested. You may have inadvertently selected mono.

โฆonly happens with my main outputs. The other outputs on my multi output interface seem to work in stereo.
In addition to the .pod file, I suggest you send Frits a copy of your setup. Click Setup → Save Setupโฆ to create a .ini file.
I hope this helps?!

I had no idea people did work in student dorms. I thought they just drank alcohol and did a lot of bed-hopping ๐
You’ve written many strong songs for the album Wednesday. Overall I find it calm and contemplative. Perfect for an indoor rainy day. I love your inclusion of more synthesised lead sounds pairing with, your obvious favourite, the piano. Vocals are A1. Thanks for sharing it.
You’ve been keeping an extensive back catalogue to yourself too ๐
Shame on you ๐
I would so love for you to add it to our SoundCloud page. Think of it as one more spot to tout for potential sales.
Thanks Frits ๐
Merryment to all ๐

…though the Diva beta from u-he does push it a bit ๐
u-he’s ZebraCM (*CM for Computer Music magazine) is one of my bread and butter synths. I had a little play with Diva and am impressed with its fuller, maximised sound. Knob tweaks shift timbres with well scaled nuance too.
Thanks for the heads up kingtubby ๐

Thank you very much Telenator for joining and contributing to our SoundCloud page ๐ With a voice like yours I imagine your gigs to be intimate and conjure sentimental memories for its audience.

I’m about a million miles away from your genres right now, but I can just feel already the positive influence it’s having on my own approachโฆ
Flattered you take inspiration for your music, horrified that it might turn out to be corruption of your style. Your tunes are solid ground, keep building The Telenator sound ๐ The more diverse the music in that group is, the more evident Podium’s versatility is.

โฆZynewave Podium and its users ought to claim a spot.
+1
Zynewave is a member and has yet to upload his musical creations ๐ He also turned down the offer to be the group’s administrator citing he’d prefer it be a Podium user community ๐
In my heart of hearts I wish EVERY Podium user would be represented. That said the group is only 3 months old and will undoubtedly expand ๐
Your track is a nice piece of industrial drum and bass. There’s even a bit of a reggae feel in the 8th note stabs. I love the eerie feel to the pads, it’s just the backing for the lead melody ๐
I would love it if you would add it to our SoundCloud Group (← click). You can link YouTube videos to your track and play them directly on SoundCloud pages.
Thank you for sharing your track which has a well balanced mix and coherent arrangement. As far as a suggestion goesโฆ perhaps some parameter changes on your lead synth and/or its fx chain with the intent to add density ๐
It’s just the right length for an ad jingle.
The melody on the squeeze-box is quite the hook ๐
Aaaahโฆ Imogen Heapโฆ ‘Hide and Seek’ is one of my all time favourite songs ♫
You’ve faithfully emulated her sound Daniel ๐ ♫♪♪
Though I was hoping for some of your vocals au naturale ๐
I enjoyed listening to your track. The arrangement was fluid. The drumming was convincing and the tune is still running in my head.
I do agree with Slomo, that the guitar part needs thickening. Or to go in the opposite direction and further thinning through a set of band filters.
Would you please consider adding it to the Podium SoundCloud Group? <-- That invitation is open to all ๐
