ZynewaveKeymasterHi lalo,
The click issue was fixed in release 1.34. I forgot to post a fix notice in your bug topic.
Fix: Splitting an audio event sometimes left a single sample gap between the two new events, which could result in a click during playback.
The other two request you mention, are not on my short-term list of todos, so it is very difficult for me to put an accurate time-estimate on those.
ZynewaveKeymasterHi Jean-Marc,
Sorry I haven’t worked on optimizing disk streaming yet. Just a quick suggestion: Maybe you can optimize the bouncing process if you solo the track that you are bounce recording.
I’ll hopefully start work on offline rendering soon.
ZynewaveKeymasterI searched for msidev.exe in C:Windows, and I did not find this file neither on my W2K or XP machine. So I assume it is not required by the Podium installer. Maybe You can put the file in quarantine with WinClam.
ZynewaveKeymasterDon’t be alarmed
Too late 😯
I never heard of ClamWin before. I use http://www.avast.com which is free for home use. I don’t know how good it is at detection, because I have not had a virus on my PC so far.
ZynewaveKeymasterIt is my intention to produce a pdf file, once the manual is complete. I have no experience with producing pdf files, so I don’t know if it is easy to convert html files to a suitable layout.
but perhaps one of the users might have the time and knowhow…if you let them?
If anyone wants to do this, I’ll sure let them.
ZynewaveKeymasterHi Jaegerteam,
Sorry about the troubles. This sounds like a bug that was fixed in 1.39:
Fix: Dragging a sound onto an arrangement with no tracks would crash Podium.
1.39 is not released as a demo, but Podium 1.40 will be released as a demo within a couple of weeks. Until then you should be able to work around the bug by making sure you have created a master output track in the arrangement, before dragging objects into the arrangement.

I’ll stop bugging you with marketing ideas then 🙂
Please keep the ideas coming 🙂
I believe the best kind of promotion is ‘gossip’ on the various online communities. I know at least some users got interested in Podium because of recommendations and praise from other users on the forums. My website statistics also show that a major part of the visitors come from links posted in topics discussing Podium.
ZynewaveKeymasterThere are many ways I could promote Podium. I just don’t feel I have the time (and interest) to invest in the marketing side of the business. I have made the choice to focus on development, and see how far that will bring it. I may be missing out on a lot of sales, but hopefully the time I invest in development will pay back later on.
Almost a year ago I went back to a part-time employment at TC, so I’m not economic dependent on Podium sales. In spite of having 30-40 hours less per week for Podium development, I’ve still managed to implement quite a lot during the last year. So no need to worry about the Podium future.
ZynewaveKeymasterClose to 60. A small, but hopefully happy group of users.
ZynewaveKeymasterDid you make that with Podium??
That’s a rhetorical question, right? 😉
I’ll post the project file once I get it cleaned out a little.
ZynewaveKeymasterHi 🙂
Finally, after getting a new computer and implementing a few needed features, I’ve been able to do some serious work with the GPO plugin. I’ve started out with some simple stuff, namely a string orchestra piece by Edward Grieg. I’m still not 100% satisfied, but there are many things in GPO still that I can work with to improve realism.
Check out the mp3 below. Any opinions on the quality?
ZynewaveKeymasterHi sonicwarrior,
It’s not practically possible for me singlehandedly to support multiple platforms. I have no experience with Linux, so it would require a lot of research for me to even estimate how much time it would take to make a Linux port. It is not going to happen for at least a couple of years.

ZynewaveKeymasterYES!
And I assume the behaviour doesn’t change if you change the tempo? What if you insert tempo changes on the timeline, are the spikes still aligned to bar starts?
ZynewaveKeymasterbut the spikes on the 1st beat only appear here..
So it spikes on the first beat in every bar? Try inserting a tempo event in Podium with a time signature of 3/4. Still spikes on every bar start?
