If I can’t save a sound I will notice it … and report.
Tried the day after, same procedure -even with the file open in audion- and it worked. I can’t remember if there were other programs open but something was interfering the save process.

So I guess you’re going to say ‘its time to Reinstall Windows’ 🙁
Yes but windows 2000 or XP 😉 (if you should have the cash … it’s worth it)
Seems to work now.
The file was not loaded in Audition when I edited it in Podium. The reason I loaded it in Audition was because the file didn’t change after i did edit operations on it.
hmm some strange coincidence perhaps. I can’t repeat it anymore.
That’s good

Lookup the CreateWindow function for more..!
My comment to kagemusha was more meant as a joke. I have previously created another application that have a completely custom drawn window frame and system buttons. I chose not to do this in Podium, as there are certain elements I would like to remain Windows like, e.g. the dialogs and Windows frames. If you’re using XP you may have installed a visual style theme that you would prefer to be adopted by Podium.
So you weren’t serious in suggesting you would like podium in full screen modus?? 😥 .. That’s how i Interpreted it. Or is it me who should install some theme for windows?

Alternatively, in the interim, you can use something like Tobybear’s mixbox to route stuff out to other tracks.
you have to keep your wits about you, but provided you’re not working at 5AM as haiku seems to, you should be alright!
I’ve used this successfully, but it can have an implication when bouncing tracks. See here for my notes about this.

Thanks. I will try it out.

Luxury issue indeed. It’s good to know there is plenty for me to do in 2006 as well 😉
Would options in the project dialog for using the tracks bitmap for the other editors be a solution? Or would you need different colors for the editors. Save your color setup and email it to me, along with your track background image, and I’ll see if I can implement this easily.
If you would have some time somewhere
along the road
And no bugs and features are to be found anymore
A seperate background image would great. 8)
I have uploaded my color sheme >> info in this topic http://www.zynewave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=209
Thanks
Wow. 😮
I don’t dare to give suggestion anymore because it keeps you awake at night
Thanks
Eli
you can download it here

On my system it’s in Windows/System32
If I understand you right that you want some kind of control on the “send” level for a track to send into an effect (or wet/dry control) that is not possible for now. Podium doesn’t have a bus system.
For now everything goes strait into the parent/Higher tracks. The only solution is to sent tracks into seperate instances of an inserteffect. That way you have to control the wet/dry from within the FX itself. It’s not ideal.
I think from what I read on this forum that some form of bussus is engineered in the labo

…are hiding behind the waveform drawing
So what you’re saying is, that you’d like the waveform to hide behind the text? 😛
😥 you’re making fun of me
Serious, I don’t think color is a solution because of the mix with user definable colors.
The Even Headers in the sequence profile properties for track are good because they display the name very clear but if you close the track you don’t have an overview anymore.
I think, if it’s possible, that there could be a small reserved space for the Ghost Icon and name >> but that it stays alwas at the beginning of an even/part >>> so if you zoom-in you still see it at the beginning of the visible event.
Aslo in the track info left of the trackheader you could place an icon for all eventnames which are ghosted.
another thing could some transparant colored line/bar over the whole lenght of the event with repeating ghost icons
Another thing that I wanted to mention for a long time is that the color assigned to a track completely becomes overwritten/obscured when you highlight a mixer strip .. also from the parent tracks the color disappears.
I think that there still could be an opacity so that you see the color or just a reserved space that keeps colored.
And while we’re at it here’s another luxury issue
I wondered why in the pianoroll editor there is no posibility to use a background image file or color control. (like the trackregion background)
I use darker colors for podiums interface but the colors I use for the general interface are not so good in the pianoroll .
I kept the device manager open but nothing happens when I plug it in.
It seems defectif…. a few months old!! I hope they are reasonable in the music store.
Thanks
Eli
Did you assign a bank preset to a track mapped with Kontakt.
-Click right a track with a kontakt map
-Choose plugin preset/new bank library
-See that the new bank library preset is assigned to a kontakt track
-In the preset pane (left) click on Sync
Now podium will save the entire kontakt setup with the *.pod file
If Kontakt is set as a global plugin and you use different tracks mapped with different channels to kontakt you only have to set a bank library on just one kontakt mapped track.
yes,
I have 14 channels from Halion. On two tracks mapped to a halion channel I had a bank preset.
I’ll check out if it changes anything when keeping just one. probally it will.
Perhaps podium could give a info message if you try to assingn a bank preset to a plugin set as global if there is one already present.
Thanks

😕
about some files the windows properties dialog says there is no info available (free translation to english). about the files I assumed they were 32float it says it’s 20bit
I checked in tracktion and it gives 24bit
audition gives 32float
I’m confused now
these are files i recorded/manipulated in audition.
I opened a new file as 32bit. But apperently they are saved as some 20bit format. I now checked that older files are definitly 32bit but these recent files are 20 bit. Audtion still gives 32bit thats why i was convinced they were.
It seems that logic is winning here>> if you don’t implement 32float it won’t play them
Sorry for give you illusions 😉
you’re right, I rarely use the rearange tool in the pianoroll.. I was constantly changing between select tool and pencil for velocities.
>> can you do the same for the select tool; the rearange tool is prone to move notes when you just want to highlight them.
I would say “One Tool for All” if it was possible.
Thanks
