Hello Darcy.
Just create the preset for your plug by pressing ‘new’ button in the presets panel.
Hello Argitoth.
I’ve wrote about problems with EMU 0404 on my system. Just to make it clear for other users – it’s not Podium related trouble. My 0404 works bad with all hosts I own or ever tried. AFAIK, some of EMU soundcards users (like me) still got the problems even with the latest drivers (1.82 atm). For the other users it works ok. If you already have 1212m and it works nice in your host – there will be no problems with Podium also.
I’m going to replace my 0404 with Creamware souncard. But I DO care about DSP software 🙂 Take a look at ESI or M-Audio souncards. There’s no problem with ASIO drivers AFAIK.
ctrl+s and ctrl+shift+alt+s (save all changes) works ok here (even from arrangement window). Also you can edit your profile settings so ‘file’ menu will be available from the arrangement window too.
Of course randomizing is not a final solution, because you loose you personal playing style with ‘hard quantizing’. 🙁 It’s just kinda workaround until Frits will implement all major features he planned. 😉
Hello CPB.
You can use ‘randomize note timing’ and ‘randomize note velocity’ options in the track properties to “simulate ‘human’ inaccuracy”.

Also, unlike with frozen tracks, you can actually use the resulting audio as audio 🙂
Yeah, that’s why I prefer “bounce” word.
And I totally agree with CPB‘s post about Podium’s wizard.

The same idea came to my mind so I decided to make a report. I didn’t know it’s a known problem, because I didn’t find anything about unicode support in the “future plan” topic. Sorry for stealing your time.
Great, thanks! 😀
Current Podium behavoir is clicking and dragging everywhere in track inspector changes hierarchy level of the track. No problem to interrupt operation or undo, but unwanted change of hierarchy level occurs casually too often for me. Maybe should be better to use only strip at the left side of track inspector for dragging? That’s VERY annoying 🙁

Agreed. Would be nice.
Thanks for quick bugfixing, Frits.
The previous track layout actually had a shadow line between the collapsed tracks. It did not match the new track layout, and I kind of like that a collapsed group appears as a full block.
I prefer to see how many subtracks are there too. And personally I see collapsed group as full block even with the shadow lines between subtracks.
Well, maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it looks like a bug – I can’t change the hierarchy level of the last channel in tracks inspector area (I mean visual representation, from up to down) by dragging it with mouse. ctrl – + works OK. Tested it in different projects.
Thanks Frits.
Now the screenshots on index page need to be updated… again. 🙄
And if you don’t need smooth “morphing”, you can automate the presets changing using midi program change command, if your VSTi supports MIDI commands correctly.
