I prefer this one which converts the dx plugins to vst shells 🙂

Read the Readme file for info on how to set it up.

Sorry for the excessive posting, but I kind of narrowed down the problem.
Podium works perfect in wine when you use directsound. (it has some glitches when compositing is on, but those go away when you use crossover office, or switch off compositing). Unfortunately you have serious latency problems with directsound (just like you’d expect)
The problem lies with the wineasio driver. Podium seems to be able to access it (I can play vsti instruments with low latency), but can’t start the transport. I really think this is just a small issue, but I don’t have the experience to figure out what goes wrong in the code. The wineasio driver works perfectly with reaper and ext2.
Maybe if Fritz could spare half an hour looking at this and then put a big “wine compatible” logo on his frontpage. I’ll happily make convenience scripts to install and configure linux boxes and update the wiki etc.
+1
I would also love to see Podium Wine Compatible 😀
Does anyone know how to make Podium work in Linux thru Wine?
I have tried to install it in Wine but when i try to launch Podium nothing happens.
Yes i deleted it to put it in here instead so that those who are looking for a new music program knows that it is possible to do in Podium 😀
I think that this is a great Feature and i would love to be able to assign multiple midi ins directly like you mentioned Frits 😉

Hey, DFusion! I caught notice of the thread you made in the VIP Lounge, but it disappeared (?) before I could download your template file. 😕
Now that I got a look, I’m interested in how you got that set up! I mean, it’s kind of buggy behaviour to have an input on multiple tracks, isn’t it?
I used a trick to set it up 😀
1.st i made a Group Track and added “Midi in” in the track i added in the group and saved it as a track template.
Then i just added that track template into Podium and added “Midi in” in a track outside of that Template so i had 2 Midi ins.
After i did that i added that track into the Group track and saved it again as a track template.
So i guess it must be a bug but a positive One 8)

OK, cool, thanks for the quick reply!
@DFusion – thanks for the template, unfortunately I’m using an old version of Podium and can’t open it 😳 (what can I say, it’s never broke, so I never fix it!). When I finally get brave enough to upgrade, I’ll check it out for sure.
That is Ok 😀
Let me know if you need any help once you decide to Update to the latest version.
I made a track template where you can play upto 4 different vst’s at the same time 😀
Here is the link.

I agree 😀
Podium is awesome and is now my Main DAW because it works so great with my new HW Purchase (Korg MicroX).
I experienced allot of problems from V 2.15 and upto 2.17 but that was because i had a dying Soundcard which did some unexpected things when i fired up Podium.
Now i have Got everything stabilized and V 2.17 works Great.
So Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece Frits 8)
Because you can’t add The Xt Vsti to a Audio track and send midi to XT on that track in Podium.
So you have to record audio in Podium first then bounce it and add the Audio file into XT on a midi track to be able to hear how the vocoder sounds while you play your keyboard.
But please correct me if im wrong since i am still learning Podium 😀

Well since we’re making a poll on it now, I say audio-stretching more important! I use energyXT to do routing inside each track so I have all the MIDI ability I need. 😀
That is true but you can’t use midi controlled Vocoders or GSnap in realtime in Energyxt.

Some of the features I have worked on the last months have pushed this a bit back. Would you say support for MIDI plugins is more important than time-stretching?
I wouldn’t say that Midi vst is more important since both of them are on my Wishlist 😀
But i have allot of midi Vst’s also so it would be nice to have support for them in podium.
I experienced the same with Disco DSP Discovery when i had Midi out from the vst enabled.
It’s good to see that you are back on track again 😀
Here is a update from my last post about this version 🙂
I changed my Motherboard and did a new install of XP and everything works great now with no high cpu usage or other problems like i had before 8)
This is a great release and i really love that new inspector view 😆
