I would rather just find an independent movie maker, talk to him personally and agree on details about the soundtrack.
Hmmm :-k
You could approach a government funding body about this. They might be able to link you up with film makers in the process of planning a project and looking for composers. In my case I would ask questions of the Australia Council for the Arts.

Anyway, so far I have only posted mostly dark music here. Well this is my second project, ‘Luminosphere’. I’ve released the first album on the ‘Mahorka’ netlabel and it is available for free here: mahorka.org/release/093
I can’t really label it as one genre, but it is an ambient/chillout mix with a positive and maybe melancholic vibe.
I hope you guys enjoy it 🙂
Playing it now… love it! There’s a broader range of moods in this one. I have posted a link to Luminosphere’s ‘Halcyon Days’ on Facebook and G+. If you’re on those platforms please join those, they’re run by Frits a.k.a. Zynewave.
A thoroughly thought out list of feature requests there, sobaka!
Love the idea of the Inspector Toolbar for adjusting clips.
• Random Options on “right click” for points
• Eq In Mixer
Currently you can enable the drawing of zPEQ on the mixer channel. At the zoom slider’s maximum, it will be ≈ 285px X 145px. I like the idea but I’m wondering what happens when you have numerous zPEQs as inserts?!
• Modulation Track
Love this idea!
To extend on it, I would prefer it didn’t control parameters on its parent track. Rather, the primary and secondary slots would be receptive to any parameter object in the Device List.
• ‘Hide Track’ button
Assuming you mean a button to ‘Hide Track Header’, that is available as a slight variant. Drag the right edge of track headers to the left. They minimise all the way down to a few pixels. No doubt this would be easy to implement.
• Some Tools For Mastering & Sound Design :
Newly created sounds, as described in a, b and d, save with the project in a subdirectory of your project folder:
…(Projects folder)(Project name)(Arrangement name)
For circumstance c, export to the directory mentioned.
x86 builds of Podium 3.2.1 and zPlugins on Win8 run without a hitch.

🙂 Neat little number. Reminds me of drumkits on CASIO keyboards.
I made a note map for it:

I always use this plugin as a instrument.
With the audio material that is very simple because the instrument and the clip using two different “routes” and therefore they do not “fight”.
With midi sequences, I create a Group Track with the FreeZZZZZer and then I insert the tracks of the other tools I want to use as “childs” of the Group Track. In this way, the effect is applied in cascade (is english, boh?) to all the instruments and I can choose to play the FreZZZZZer live or with a midi sequence.
That works perfectly! 😀
I wasn’t sure whether a plugin on an instrument slot would process audio from child tracks. You’ve made my day discovering that it does. YAY

It’s just that I really have no idea though how to get to someone who writes movies/games and would need a soundtrack.
Hello Cris,
I believe Me le suono! has explored this. Send him a pm to find out what he’s using.
Also, you can license directly through SoundCloud with the help of Getty Images.
Licensing and collection of royalties varies in administration from country to country. In Australia it is done through APRA/AMCOS. In the US, it’s ASCAP. They’re kinda like a trade union, I think.
Best of luck Cris, I look forward to the day when you post a link to a film trailer which credits you as soundtrack composer 😀

Try this: FreeZZZZZer or FreeZZZZZer2.
I’ve been hoping to come across such a plugin. Thanks Me le suono!
It was a little awkward getting full functionality out of it:
I used CombiNatOr synth (by the same developer) which ultimately crashed. But while it was running, FreeZZZZZer2 did a great job of holding even smooth-textured sounds.
Looking forward to exploring it thoroughly 🙂

The problem is that I’m still having issues with getting my VSTis to work with the US-122L. I’ve set it up so that the master track plays out of the device, and audio is going through just fine, but none of the VSTi’s make any noise. I’m not sure if somehow the VSTi output isn’t set up to go through the US-122L or what, but I have no way to check. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this?
Hello Joe,
I used to use a TASCAM interface too. It was a precursor to the model you use and was a sturdy little unit. I doubt the device discriminates between VSTi’s and other audio streams. It would be a scandalous limitation for TASCAM to implement.

To expand on alex’ suggestion, have a look at Zynewave’s YouTube channel. There are tutorials on how to use Podium and more advanced production techniques.
When you’re comfortable using Podium, and export some music out of it, please consider sharing it with our Soundcloud group – Podium Poppets 😀
