Without any intention of understimate xis23 request, work in the workflow is a wise decision

I need the help from Germany people again 🙂

Before buy from eBay, how are the plug and socket in Germany? How many tension and Hz have them?

As example, here in spain they’re two cilindric plugs with 230v and 50Hz. If you can take a picture from a Germany plug I’ll be very grateful also!

Please answer quickly, the article I’m interested ends soon! (And I don’t know how to talk in german, so I cannot ask to the actual owner!)

I would say this is a stupid reply since you’ll know this and you’ll need quality as zplane… but, for some pitch-shift task, did you tried native zPitch?

To be fair, this is not entirely true, maybe simply due to a bug: If I keep adding effects, at a certain amount the new effect tracks will not be added into the chain correctly. It’s best to try and see for yourself what happens. 😛

    You were really bored! 😛

Hey Markus, same here. I need ultrafast and easy workflow or I lose my inspiration 🙁

I always use FL Studio to investigate new ideas, but its playlist very unfriendly (even its v9), so when I have the idea I port it to Podium if I can. The things I miss from FL Studio are my usual feature request here:

    – Drag&Drop from browser samples to plugins
    – Right click to erase notes and unselect them with pencil tool
    – Improved (or new even) drum roll with minisamplers.

Second, there is another thing i’d like to be implemented that, at least, aren’t sins for my creativity as MIDI Controllers, MIDI fx, clip-bounce, or beatiful guis (example: mixer). And later, tons of minor things, as instrument menu from track headers…

I want the same that you, easy, fast and inmediate.

It could be, but I’m very ignorant about cpu and multcore issues =P Anyway your comments make sense! 8)

About CPU usage. Podium, at least with one track, only use one core in my PC. Take a look to this screenshot, where I use Nithonat, Toraverb and Redoptor with maximun quality settings:

I’m not sure this is helping the cause of making it less confusing… I think after an unsuspecting user has seen what the button does (selecting a track), it’s not very obvious to click on the button a second time.

That’s the reason I ask right click on slot for menu, it’s pure common sense I think!

Usually you want’ the dial to work seamless but unloading the plug will result in a short pause or something. For the solution with the dial you can just lower the wet-path to 0 but the plugin is still processed.

I was unaware of that short pause. However a right click button on that abstract knob could disable/enable the knob (keeping its value) and mute/unmute the plugin. With zero value it would continue processing then 🙂

I’m also agree with the position of insert effect, it should be at the end of chain.

See, easy and fast is those magic words.

Those are the most important words. Easy and fast. You will see me ask for an inmediate and intuitive workflow, always.

Sometimes he accepts my suggestions, other times doesn’t. What do I do? Relax and enjoy with the things I like. I don’t know if you have programmed something, I do. When you have a big program there is some things that are difficult to change. Usually this depends on the programmer skills, the most experienced, the most open to change are the code. Think in our ex-host FL Studio. Gol cannot change the most of the things because when he started to program FruityLoops he was a semi-noob.

Nobody hate you. At least I don’t hate you. The idea that somebody on the net hate you is an illusion, it’s only in your head. And if somebody say: “hey Markus, I hate you”, you can easily solve the problem turning off the PC 🙂 it isn’t a joke. ppl takes their lifes too serious. Enjoy.

Of course you don’t always have to get a reply to your post, that’s craving attention, and that’s a bad sign that something isn’t right in your head (no offense, I’m pseudo-psychiatrist).

As you can see in beta4 post, you will see drag and drop, so that’s a good sign, imho, for everyone here 🙂

Just relax, do suggestions or say what you don’t like in the new betas. I don’t hate you.

Another button bites the dust. The select and menu buttons are now combined into one. Clicking the button will select the track. Clicking the button when the track is selected will open the menu.

Thanks, it’s more comfortable now, really! Although I would like use right click on effect slot for menu – more standart 🙂

    Still to do:

    Right-click on buttons.
    Drag-reordering.
And I’m still thinking of ways to get rid of the record buttons.

I love all of these upcoming changes, please, try to take consideration about right click on effect slot, if you don’t have another plans for it. I’ll respect them anyways. And I *think* the record button now it’s fine.

    Thanks you Frits!

Also I’d like to add that right click on effect/instrument slot would be more polished that the menu button. On a empty slot it should show the same instrument/effects menu that left click. And woooooaaaa another button less = better experience for the user.

I’m just trying this. Thanks you Frits, this seems another thing. I was pretty scared when I see the aspect that Podium has with tons of buttons and fader. I know you work a lot and I didn’t want to offend your work in any way!! I’m more comfortable and I understand why the sends in Podium, so I’m gonna do you a suggestion. I hope you like it 🙂

➡ You could change mute button and do it a knob and then you should remove the send faders. This knob would be a Volume knob for instrument, a Dry/Wet knob for insert effects, and a Send Gain for send effects. If the knob is zero then the effect is bypassed. If you right click in the knob you alternate it between its original value and zero.

I think it has tons of common sense. Two controls in one + dry/wet feature request. All in the same knob = better workflow.

My best wishes for Podium 🙂 (at least Podium’s workflow ><)

…Each vst should have an embedded editor with 8 knobs (think racks in live). Like you have “add parameter track” option in the menu now, you could also have “link parameter to knob”, which will map that vst parameter to the knob, so you have it available for instant tweaking. You could also save this mapping in the plugin template so it’s restored each time you use it.

    Cool idea – I like it 😀
    Mart.

I’m totally agree, i like the idea
