This feature is implemented but i don’t know how to do it, because i never use it. Anyone else?
Maybe you should try overclock.net for this kind of stuff. But overclocking is generally not a good idea on a DAW because of these precise problems.

Bump for this problem. It’s still one of the things that annoys me the most in Podium. In Tracktion for instance, disabling the plugins is enough to not make them cause a delay anymore. In Podium i have to remove them from the track entirely, which is a pain.
The effect bypass button is “softer” than a plugin disable button. One purpose of the bypass button is to A/B the dry signal with the wet signal. For that purpose it is necessary to delay the dry bypassed signal with the same latency as the plugin, or else the dry/wet audio would shift in time.
Also why can’t one save an effect-chain on the Master-track?
I may add support for this later on. I haven’t implemented it yet, because I need to add code that filters out the audio output from the chain.
Thanks Frits for your answer. I get it, but an option to disable the plugins entirely would be nice, maybe an on/off button per track like the big on/off button in the left bottom corner of the GUI.

Also from me a happy newyear to everyone!
The same thing happened for me with Gsnap. Only the stereo-version works in Podium.
Have you tried using FlStudio as a VSTi instead of Rewire?
Edit: Sorry. LiquidProject answered your question already.
Yes, the latency-bounce bug is fixed for me! Thanks.
I know Tracktion has that feature. You can also revert to a previous state.
Just confirming that i have troubles with offline rendering too. Hadn’t experienced this before. Using 2.39 now, but i don’t know which update caused the trouble. My problem is that the beginning of a vocal track falls away every time. Realtime-rendering fixes this.

You are not forgetting anything. Record enabling a track will mute it, even if you specified a punch range. In a future update I may implement playback of audio outside the punch range.
Thanks, glad i wasn’t doing something wrong.
Our first song completed in Podium. It’s called The Secret.

Hmm, are you using it as a mono or stereo mapping? It seems the mono mapping is created by Podium unknowingly, since it doesn’t behave as expected… I don’t see a problem with the stereo mapping so far.
I use the mono-mapping. Haven’t tried the stereo-mapping. Thanks for the tip and will report back!
Edit: That did the trick! The stereo-mapping works fine and i see no problem in using it this way. Thanks thcilnnahoj! 😀
Your friends are absolutely right. The popping is caused by either your audio-card’s drivers or buffer-setting (don’t set it too low
!) in combination with your, sorry to say it, ancient CPU. Podium itself won’t make your audio pop.
I have known Podium for several years. KVR was the place i first saw it mentioned. It was known as the “classy unknown sequencer” in my memory. I downloaded the demo but i couldn’t grasp it, especially as i was used to Tracktion.
I tried it again after Tracktion was abandoned. The experience was much better and, as i like to support small developers, i bought it in a whim. Since then it has come a long way really fast and i’m not longing for Tracktion anymore, except for the clip-based fx.
