nicholas.hParticipantGot it, thanks!
nicholas.hParticipantHi, I was struggling with the same issue while demoing 3.4.2, so I’m glad to have found this thread. I have another question relating to the same project settings page:
After closing the Arrangement Editor, we get to the page with the Content panel and Device panel. This lists the arrangements, sounds and audio/MIDI settings like MIDI configurations. But can I still switch to the old folder-like view, so we can ‘drill into’ these MIDI configurations to edit them?
I doubt many users needed it, but it was really cool (I mean nerdy). I used to dive into the definitions to do things like rename MIDI CC labels, and to offset the MIDI note numbers used for polyphonic pressure note names, so that C0 corresponding to C0 on my keyboard – because transposing a MIDI track only affected note values, not the polyphonic pressure note assocations.
Thanks, Nick.
nicholas.hParticipantHi, I only noticed one issue: the Products > Podium page intro image/video appears black, and I can’t see any play button. But it does play when clicked. Same thing in latest Firefox and Brave (Chrome) 64-bit browsers.

nicholas.hParticipantThis isn’t exactly what you asked for, but you can add a horizontal scrollbar to the arrangement view, which makes navigation a lot easier…
1. In an arrangement, go to View menu > Customize Editor Profile.
2. In the Editor Profile Properties dialog, click “Insert new…” button, then select “Scrollbar” from the list.
3. In the Scrollbar Region Properties dialog, click OK to accept the default layout options.
4. Back in the Editor Profile Properties dialog, make sure “Scrollbar” is selected in the Region list, then use the “Move down” button to move it down below “Tracks”.
5. Click OK. You now have a horizontal scrollbar… With bonus zoom out and zoom to selection buttons. The same technique works inside Editor windows also, as their profiles can be similarly customized.
nicholas.hParticipantJust one step was missing. Arm the track to record —> PRESS THE RECORD (O) BUTTON –> press play

nicholas.hParticipantYes I encounter the same issue with automating the pitch of the stock zPitch plugin – and use the same solution! Fortunately, quantizing the recorded automation points is really nice and easy.

nicholas.hParticipantIt should not stutter or slow down like that, unless perhaps there’s a MIDI loop issue.
On the audio side, the critical settings will be the Audio driver/ASIO interface settings in Audio/MIDI. See Podium Guide 7.2. Audio/MIDI
nicholas.hParticipantI noticed the ‘Latest News’ announces Podium 3.3.3, but the product page (Products > Podium) only features a demo of 3.3.2. This might be intentional, I don’t know.
nicholas.hParticipantI remember this issue was discussed previously:
nicholas.hParticipantI don’t know about using multiple interfaces, but I have multiple inputs working fine. Are channels 3 & 4 selected (checked) as “Active channels” in Podium’s Audio/MIDI dialog, along with the other inputs?
If so, then these should all be selectable from a Track’s input selector.
nicholas.hParticipantI don’t think so.
nicholas.hParticipantIt depends on your audio interface or soundcard, and Podium’s Audio I/O settings. The best performance, with low buffer size, comes from using dedicated ASIO drivers for your interface. If you don’t have an audio interface and only use the internal sound functionality on your computer, then the generic ASIO4All driver could be the solution.

nicholas.hParticipantOne more thing: Track Templates saved in 3.3.0 lack their assigned devices (sources, inputs) when recalled. The track name/colour/gain/pan settings are reloaded, but not much else.

nicholas.hParticipantThanks for this!
Is it possible that you experienced this bug with the beta version?
I didn’t have access to the beta, so it was definitely the release. I just tried updating the plugin database a whole bunch of times… It only showed this empty list issue *once*, when updating a nearly-empty project for the first time in a while. But even when I tried temporarily moving/adding plugins and rebuilding, I could not get it to fail again.
Do you have your project and track template folders as subfolders of your projects root folder?
Haha yeah I did… Okay I’ve moved those out of the way and the list is clearer. But I still see the empty menu item. Screenshot (Not a serious issue, in fact it’s growing on me.)

nicholas.hParticipantUpdate on the issue #1 I reported in my previous post. I encountered that device list issue repeatedly over the weekend. But since then, it has worked perfectly every time – on existing projects and new projects.
