Does this will also solve the fact that often the real values are not sent when we change enveloppe points during playback ?
Maybe. I’m going to revise the automation handling, so hopefully this will result in better realtime response.
Note: If you plan to go back to a previous Podium release, please save a backup of your Podium.ini file before running this release. The changes to the toolbars in this release will modify the Podium.ini file and this will not show up correctly in older Podium releases.

Draw a volume enveloppe or a plugin automation, mute the track during playing, unmute it : all the enveloppes are ignored…
You have to stop and restart playing.Frits, can you solve this, please ?
After looking at this, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is best solved by a minor change in the engine. It’s going to take a few days of work, so I’m about to release 1.98 without this fix, since the 1.98 release is way overdue.

What is the benefit of having the Monitor(Power) button, anyway? (I’ve just started demoing Podium)
What rinxai said, plus:
Since Podium projects can contain multiple arrangements which can be shown in multiple arrangement editor windows simultaneously, there has to be a way that the user can control which arrangement should use the MIDI/audio interfaces. Thus the power button.
Also, if your project e.g. contains a set of songs for an entire album, it saves a lot of time and memory that Podium does not have to load the plugins for all the arrangements when loading the project.
Thanks Sam. That’s a nice story.
I have made some changes for the next 1.98 release:
Added “activate power when opening arrangement editor” option to the preferences dialog. This option is on by default.
The power button will pulsate when it is not selected. That should draw attention to it if you forgot to enable it.
I’m also considering renaming the button from “Monitor” to “Power”. Enabling monitoring is only part of its purpose. “Power” more correctly covers the loading/unloading of plugins.

Frits , does the track playing care about the midichannel? For ex: when using multi instruments with garritan PO , how to assign channels?…if its possible 😉
The import of GPO should have created a set of 16 MIDI channel mappings in addition to the multiple output mappings. Just create new tracks with the MIDI mappings to play the individual MIDI channels.
Any beta on the way?
No need for a beta. 1.98 will be released later this week.
Could you say if it is this year, at least?
Sorry, I can’t. I’ve tried making long-term development predictions before, but they rarely became true, so I prefer not to make any promises. Often the course of development is guided by discussions and suggestions on this forum.
Does Podium has a video track?
Not yet. Support for video is on the plan, but I can’t say when I’ll find the time to add support for it.
Podium currently supports loop-recording by using a folder track to contain the multiple takes on child tracks. It’s possible to extend this functionality to handle the individual tracks in the group as multiple takes, with automatic cross-fading and automatic muting, etc. I think the best solution is to extend the Podium folder track system to handle multiple-takes, rather than adding a new layer/virtual track feature to each audio track. Implementation of this is a bit into the future though.
I need more details, please.
Just to be sure, the track panel that has the name of the instrument and the gain and pan dial, that cannot be made the same color as the track color?
Correct.
are you still going to put the markers location someplace that will show which marker you are curently in?
To be honest, I think this is of low priority, compared to some of the other features I have on my todo list. I cannot say when I will find time to implement this.
Open the “tracks region properties” dialog and adjust the “track header color opacity”.
If you mean the color of the entire track inspector panel, then the answer is no.
